It didn't work and more people started to side with Max. He tried and failed this multiple times. (that's the main reason why he deleted various threads and comments made by himself, blocked people, etc.) Like I said before, he didn't want to stop the conflict and in the end he only damaged himself. But it doesn't matter too much now that it's over. I hope Mecha learns from this and Stop making such stupid choices.

You might think he is better than this, but if this situation have proven anything, it would be the exact opposite. That is not to nail Max only, since Mecha is equally much of a moron. I favoured his side of the argument, because his demands was fair and justified, he simply wanted the things he created off the servers. Equally unprofessional is the acts of Mecha, which mainly consist of sticking his fingers in the ears and singing out loud, trying to backpedal out, and just lacking consistency through the entire argument. Beside that, he handled Max's propaganda in a poor manner, by going in defensive mode, and hiding anything that did not side with him, which pretty obviously only can backfire. So, what exactly am I trying to conclude here? Well, that taking sides is completely useless, since it's obvious that both sides is blinded by their hatred and hostility toward eachother. We can't even tell what is truth and what is lies, and what is simply misunderstanding between the parts, because the whole arguement is based on two cavemen knocking eachother in the head with a club. Maybe when the steamheads have steamed off, some light will be shed on the whole situation. If not, it sure was fun to see this massive drama going on :v:

That's taking it too far now. If you hate someone, that's fine. Just don't tell the world, the fact is all this has caused is a shitstorm.

I repeat, [b]I did exactly what Mecha asked[/b], just not on FP or Slag Gaming (where I knew strange stuff like disappearing threads would happen — and lo! it did). It was posted on Tumblr as a blog post at 10.25am; then linked to on here, way before the "video stuff" happened (which was around 9pm). So there's that. Once I saw that he was being a huge hypocrite and decided to bash me for making the situation public, after asking me to do so, well, I decided to expose that. There are a ton of extremely talented people on here and if they ever want to collaborate with Mecha, I want them to know what kind of person he is.

He probably wanted to put people against Max for starting a drama and then make him stick with him, or atleast make himself look like the "good one" (there isn't realy a good one here, just two guys fighting eachother).

Books, artwork, visual media like videos are all copyright protected as soon as they are produced by the author in the UK, France and US. The US actually has some of the more interesting copyright laws but they have huge loopholes, for example section 512(c) of the DMCA which I pointed out, can be abused for personal gain as all you need to do is "produce content" that you made for whatever it is that's being pulled up, if you're good enough at doing lies and producing fake content you can take down someone else's work without them even knowing. It's a good bit of legislation but it has flaws as it works off a pretty automated non-physical system, I still highly suggest using something like creative commons though for any visual media, it gives the copyright holder a stronger ground to stand on.

No idea who the other guy is since I just discovered this thread through the drama and am not into the modding scene otherwise, but I have to say Max lost a couple of more respect points here. Maybe even more so because he wasn't clearly in an asshole position from the start, but slowly and steadily and with determination went down that path. Who wants a cp/koth parkour map where the point moves around rooftops and you have to keep up to it by parkouring yourself around while trying to knock off your opponents?

And in the end, the ones to truly lose were the players. Parkour Fortress is still awesome, however.

In my opnion, Max overreacted, and shouldn't have reacted like that. But it just showed how dumb Mecha was. So I think it's okay.
