Max's was also great, but I personally didn't like the dark team-colours too much. I like some of Mugen's additions as well, such as the team yellow coloured bags.

They're 2048x1024 and completely lossless, whereas the Valve originals are 1024x512 and already compressed — this means your texture will most likely have an awful JPEG-like feel to it by starting off from the Valve VTFs, whereas you'll be doing a 100% fresh start with the TF2TIP ones. Also, I remember Jonas telling me that team-colored gloves were a no-go because of consistency issues with the viewmodels — interesting to see he's changed his mind on that.

Thanks again. Honestly view model consistency doesn't seem like a huge issue, but if he really wanted to keep it that way, it's fine. It would make sense for a freerunner to wear handwraps, so I don't see a problem with keeping it. The only problem I have with it then would be just making it look nice. My only problem with the skins so far is that they seem a bit overly bright and cheery-looking. The original TF2 palette had more darker colors implemented. Even your skins had darkened shirts (although I opted for regular colors to make team ID'ing a nonissue). I've been trying to implement more of that brownish gray from scout's bag, just to introduce some more colors. I could try the darker team colors again and see what public opinion on those are. I'd like to find some middle ground between easy team ID'ing and... not looking like Play-doh. I'm gonna keep a list of ideas here for when I get home since I'm a forgetful mofo: -dark colored rings around the sleeves and collar -brighten/desaturate the pants for red team at least -pick up the uncompressed textures and acquire a new AO map for them -move the flap on the bag down so it's more towards the middle -Redownload the Normal Map plugin for photoshop and properly normal map the bag's flap

Anyhow, the new skins sound like they're coming along nicely! Maybe put some socks with team colored bands on.

Do we really need to go through this again? Max's content is not on the servers. The DMCA is all about who is right legally. We were [I]so close[/I] to getting back on track until Max decided that no, it definitely needs to be put on Tumblr. While speaking of the actual gamemode, the Hookshot is being reworked to become an actual hookshot, ie. aim->fly towards.

When the situation first started? When you first got wind of it by word of mouth after it started? As far as I can recall, FP threads are still not view-able by unregistered guests. And yes, "veteran status" means nothing. It should really depend on whether or not you're part of the drama that it means something to you. I'm not part of it, but drama is ugly and I for one, do NOT like it cluttering a public space.

That's all I've got to say about this matter, the rest is between Max and I.
On a completely unrelated-to-drama note, am I the only one who thinks the pyro hookshot would be good for it's own gamemode? Hit an enemy, they go towards you, hit a wall and you move towards it - navigate around the level to avoid being shot, but be sure to hit a few enemies along them way and drag them into a pit. No respawning, like arena.
