Naughty crate = coal used to craft naughty wepaons
Combine 2 coals with a weapon and it turns naughty
I can't think of anything for a nice crate.

Having to buy keys to give your items a useless quality. That is the single worst idea ever.
Having to buy keys to give your items a useless quality. That is the single worst idea ever.
But you have to remember:
This is the game where Bills' hat & Max's Head dominate the market, even though there are rarer hats going for 1 refined, and a hat with a partical effect can sell for thousands of dollars.
People are idiots.
Give them a new quality, they will buy it, even if there are no benifits whatso ever.
Having to buy keys to give your items a useless quality. That is the single worst idea ever.
And if it does happen, people will still do it.
Of course. But that doesn't mean it is a good idea.
Same thing with the haunted stuff and that was a really good idea.
I can't believe the ridiculous prices of Haunted items. They were easier to get than the regular ones!

Rushing and camping to the underworld everyday
The only reason people wanted Haunted items was because there was a possibility of Valve removing the restrictions from them.
Why did people think so? Because there were 27 new items, 2 new taunts and over 30 new voice lines just for those items, why wouldn't they think haunted items were a trick to keep the items rare but still usable all year round. Well people though wrong and thanks to that we are all screwed.
Now Valve thinks their little experiment was succesful. People didn't want the items because of purple text and rarity like they though, but Valve propably belives that was the reason people wanted them. There was completely different reason and since they don't listen the community, they will never know.
What does that have to do with anything? Valve is sure to relase more items with special variants which are not different in any way, thinking they will be a huge hit like the Haunted items "were". There is a huge chance of Raid mode being relased on Christmas update, but the weapons... We will be lucky if they aren't holiday restricted reskins unless they plan to relase more polypacks.
I think that is just being stupidly optimistic. It wouldn't be fair of Valve to only remove restriction from Haunted items.

Sure, valve definately doesn't listen to the community.
It's not like we have a workshop and a store that people have requested before.

Yet I haven't seen a new weapon with new stats coming from it.
Yet I haven't seen a new weapon with new stats coming from it.
It's not easy to make new weapons, I'd rather they take their take to add weapons with new stats instead of shitting out weapons with really crappy stats.
But don't people still want haunted items even though they don't do anything? and hell even vintage items are worth more and we've known for over a year that they don't do anything. So yeah a lot of TF2 players do want things for text colour.
Yet I haven't seen a new weapon with new stats coming from it.
I heard the reason we haven't had any new weapons with new stats is because of people saying that alot of the Uber update weapons were made with the new f2p audience in mind i.e OP and the TF team got butthurt about it.

Were the uber updates weapons really considered overpowered? The only thing that really comes to mind the 1001 demoknight loadout but that got nerfed and that loadout isn't very good for normal play.
i don't remember anything in the uber update other than the new demoknight that constitutes as "overpowered"
how does goomba stomping, an age old source mod, sound like it was made for the new f2p crowd...?

some are considered overpowered, like the enforcer or tomislav
some are considered overpowered, like the enforcer or tomislav
yeah i forgot about the enforcer. but to be fair it's only overpowered with the dead ringer, which in itself has been the target of several complaints before the enforcer was added. so yeah the enforcer (and tomislav) were both implemented pretty badly, but i'm still convinced that the dead ringer needs to be looked at a little bit as well and it's not entirely the enforcer's fault.
to be fair i only wanted haunted items because i thought they were going to last all-year round
when i found out they didn't do anything, i raffled/tf2wh'd them away
why cant we craft halloween hats together again...?
Great. My steam account got hijacked just in time for the Christmass update. :\

Aka you handed your password out like candy.

I think they do reskins because is hard to come up with good stats or ideas, let's take australian christmass for example, some wepaons fromt hat update are pretty bad.
Also, most of the uber update weapons are pretty damn good
No I have no ideea how my password was found out.
No I have no ideea how my password was found out.
You either handed it to someone or a 3rd party site that was pretending to be steam, it was pathetically easy to guess, or you managed to get a keylogger on your machine. With Steam Guard, people shouldn't be hijacking your account unless you screw up big time. At this point, all you can do is wait for Steam Support to get back to you.
