okay brb crafting then regretting
wow. those new crates look fancy and/or nasty.
You heard it here first. We're getting a bunch of weapons from Mister Royzo's Fancy vs. Nasty Update :v:
I'd rather get the weapon of the week, or the experimental balance change of the week
They should do more stuff like the DOUBLE HP FOR EVERYONE in the Beta.
Sure, some classes needed balance (badly), but the sudden ammo scarcity forced players to aim with greater care (reducing spam in the process) and made encounters last longer, which put a larger emphasis on "skill" and a smaller on reflex. Of course the ambush classes (with the exception of the Spy) suffered from this, but otherwise it was a welcomed change after all the unlockable weapons that deal more damage (Anything from Direct Hit to Axtinguisher to Loch'n'Load).
It was very interesting to see what a wide range of effects such a small variable change had.

Nice craft, and it's numero uno.
I really hope they give us 2 keys this year to try both the festive crates.

They need to do the pyro update already so my fire hydrant model can be added >.>

Naughty crate makes you lose a hat, and 1 in 100 chance to lose an unusual
Also, Valve once mentioned in an interview they looked for ways to shape the community by giving boni for "good players" and mali for "bad players". Not stat-wise, but how important they are to the community.
The most obvious examples to this are the community contributors with their self-made weapons, the folks with the wiki caps and the sparkly stuff. But the glasses you get for teaching a newbie also count.
I wonder if these crates will be the attempt to expand on that idea. I kinda doubt it, but I'm still curious.
These crates are most likely just a funny way to make two different series, you know.
Are these crates starting to drop?
We'll see what the crates contain next week. I bet, Smissmas will be on friday like last year.
Also naughty and nice keys. :suicide:
Also naughty and nice keys. :suicide:
Probably "Festive" keys.
It would be nice from Valve to re add series #6 to the drop list, just for fun.

Thanks for nostalgia i wish valve was still like then

I don't see how changing a name can sell twice as many keys, because regardless of not there's two different type of keys, people will buy the same amount as if there was only 1.
If it's the same key and you have 5 Nice and 5 Naughty, you're gonna buy 10 keys.
If it's two different keys and you have 5 Nice and 5 naughty, you're going to buy 5 Nice keys and 5 Naughty keys, and 5+5 = 10.
:eng101:
Can anyone confirm as to whether they drop yet or not? I want to know if it's safe to idle tonight!
Gr.. Why won't the servers update!?
Thanks for nostalgia i wish valve was still like then
Without hats? ARE YOU CRAZY?!

Festive crates usually require festive keys! Festive crates also usually have a higher rate of dropping a unusual so More unusuals = More Dosh!

Stats copied from other weapons - what can be called a 'reskin'. v:v:v

The only problem is you looked at the wiki. the unusual chance is still 1%

I was talking about the old TF2 updates.
Festive crates usually require festive keys! Festive crates also usually have a higher rate of dropping a unusual so More unusuals = More Dosh!
Festive crates do not hold a higher rate at yielding an unusual. That false perception is the reason why people think series 1 crates are worth a nice chunk of metal and that series 30 crates are worth 5+ keys.
Can't wait till I find a nice crate, get a stocking stuffer key and see what I get.
what are "wearable gibs" anyway

Festive crates do actually, but not series 1 and 30.
