Where is this leaked from?
A tourneyfag
Hmm, so I guess it would make sense for even non-offensive engies to equip the wrench, build all their things, then switch to normal wrench.
Not if the new wrench is a wrench replacement.
Because then you have to respawn in order to get the old wrench after using the new one.
Why do gloves make him run fast.
Anyone have the Tf2items link for these guys pages?
Competitive players that have tf2 beta have "another game" called tf2 beta in their games list so it wouldn't work. I know at least 10 people that are in beta!

Excellent
Why do gloves make him run fast.
why does a sandvich heals bullet wounds
why does a baseball stun people
Why do gloves make him run fast.
Why is there a gun that shoots out healing and invulnerability.
why does a sandvich heals bullet wounds

1. sandvich make you big and strong
2. that makes sense, hit someone really hard with a baseball too the head, what happens?
Why is there a gun that shoots out healing and invulnerability.
What sane human being would find that throwing piss at people is a valid strategy?
WRONG! They are using competitive player's opinion to make changes to tf2! There isn't going to be two version of tf2!
Well I sure hope not.
The PDQ would be almost useless in pub games. Level 1 sentries don't last long and no one works together so it wouldn't get upgraded. There's quite a difference between competitive playing and pub games.
I'm not too fond of the changes they are making. I like the way TF2 is now.
now? as of RIGHT now? hahah yah sure
Well I sure hope not.

Have you never played ambush engi what the hell you talkin about dude.
And how about trying to build on gravelpit C when BLU has already taken A and B. It's pretty hard for an engi to manage to get stuff up quick enough, this would be really useful for that. Hell I'd always use it if I knew a teammate would be nice enough to upgrade my teleporters for me.
I'm quite sure these will be options whether or not a server allows these weapons. They are designed for competitive play and people might prefer the current style of TF2, where it caters for all players.
Why do gloves make him run fast.
Why is there things that instantly teleport you somewhere?
I thought this was going to be one of those badage boys spam threads again but thank god.

Are you kidding, ol' chap?
A well-hidden LVL1 sentry can slaughter two-thirds of the classes. Even on the Facepunch UK Server, it gets me around 4 kills before destruction.
LVL1 Dispenser can be handy at the front lines as well.
This wrench keeps you on the move, an USEFUL, OFFENSIVE ENGINEER. :eng101:
No no no no.
None of those make as little sense as gloves that make you run fast.
Teleporters: Come on, they're teleporters. They don't need to be explained
Medigun: It's like Bacta. C'mon, Star Wars.
Jarate: Cause your foes to lose the will to live.
Sandvich: Eating food heals wounds in many games; this is not unique
And a baseball to the head would clearly stun most people.
...what DOESN'T make sense is why wielding a wooden baseball bat instead of an aluminum one makes you more susceptible to death.
Food that heals you, baseballs which stun and teleporters are all logical in videogames but gloves which make you run faster? What?
2. that makes sense, hit someone really hard with a baseball too the head, what happens?
I can stun people by hitting them in the foot.
:raise:
Almost useless.
Yeah, level 1 sentries can take out scouts and things like the pyro from far away, but once they know about it or a soldier/demo/heavy comes out it's gone. And almost no one would upgrade it because they don't want to use their metal on a sentry that isn't theirs.
And if they have a separate client for the beta or this I don't see why they can't have the competitive version of TF2.

Comp players are just being used to playtest, these aren't made for comp play. I don't think many comp spies are gonna be asking for a fireproof suit, do you?
These will be the weapons released in class updates, btw.

I think the metal bat makes a few bullets bounce off the Scout. That's my theory.

Is it a possibility that when it's talking about "objects" it means "everything apart from the sentry", meaning it would be like before the upgradable dispensers/teles update? (i.e. the engineer with the PDQ can upgrade his sentry, just not dispensers and teleporters)

Maybe, but then it'd say "Can only upgrade sentry" or something.
i hope this is fake
i don't want tf2 turning into some rpg, i like it how it is, with the frequent update on a class now and then
Hey how about this: +150% build speed, +150% metal used
[editline]05:05PM[/editline]
Wait nevermind. Two engineers could actually dominate in tag team. One player builds stuff wicked fast and the other upgrades everything.

Agree, to be honest, I think Valve should stick with Bug Fixes and Class updates. Hats only caused trouble, and these new beta competitive weapons.. really seems like they would kill the purpose of the class they're given to.

The same reason knives do in Counter Strike.
Everyone runs faster with a knife.
The same reason knives do in Counter Strike.
Hahaha, they should make the model a heavy with a knife
