EDGE Suggests Valve start selling advantages in TF2 - Games

Selling an advantage is like selling steroids. It ruins the point of the game and ruins the natural progression that is needed to make a game what it is.

He's right if you're talking about making pure profit, but Valve is the exception to that rule. Making "perfect" games is their claim to fame. Any other company can make and market a crappy Pay to Win game and make a boatload, Valve just isn't that "modern".. yet.

Well I just tried out what freeman was talkin 'bout, (trying the premium trial on premium servers) and I got +10% speed, instant respawn, infinite ammo, infinite sentries, +50 HP on kill, and +25 HP on assist. I became the pyro that I had feared becoming my entire life as a TF2 player. I spawncamped without letting go of M1. I ran out of trial time before I even died. EDIT: Oh yeah, and my fire never ran out. and they could only be put out with medics and medpacks, not dead ringers activating. on top of all that, it told me when I would "kill" a spy using his dead ringer
