Okay, now all of my characters have an ugly white tint on them like this: Does anyone know the command to make it not do that? Also when I first started It all of the settings were on low.
Gotta enable Normal Mapping.
Try mat_bumpmap 1 or mat_specular 1 or something.
Just speculation. Bear in mind Steam runs on your computer and can access any file it so wishes. It could check.
Steam runs on my computer after I turn it off? :aaa: [editline]02:38PM[/editline] -snip, fixed it-
Try mat_bumpmap 1 or mat_specular 1 or something.
Neither of those work.
Steam runs on my computer after I turn it off? :aaa:
Yes that's exactly what I said. Just give it up, you know I'm right.
Yes that's exactly what I said. Just give it up, you know I'm right.
I'm just telling you that steam can't check shit if you turned it off. And I guess it's kinda common sense to turn off steam if you're playing a pirated steam game.
Stop Agreeing your own posts. I'm saying it could look through your Hard Drive at any time. The likely hood of them implementing it is low but any program can do it.
Yes, it could do it. But it doesn't, now can we end this discussion about steam searching your hard drive.
I know. That's all I was saying. Someone decided to take offense.
I know. That's all I was saying. Someone decided to take offense.
OK, Good thats over.
Does anyone know the command to turn normal maps on?
Does anyone know the command to turn normal maps on?
mat_normalmaps 1
Neither of those work.
Try to put Shaders on Low in the graphical options (while being on a map obviously) then put them back at High
Anyone tried to import a demo?
Yeah, I would like to know if this works !
Every time I try to launch it with
"F:\Leak\Team Fortress 2\hl2.exe" -game tf -applaunch 440 -window -noborder -novid -tools
it just runs, thinks about it, and closes in the space of half a second. No windows pop up, no nothing. Tried with steam running and not running, no difference. Patched with FINAL_FIXX_ADVANCED, enginetools installed
The most common patches today patch the subscriptions Steam thinks you have and runs Steam normally, actually [editline]02:14PM[/editline] Launch it w/o the tools first.
mat_normalmaps 1
I already tried that, nothing happened.
Try to put Shaders on Low in the graphical options (while being on a map obviously) then put them back at High
I cant do that when I have -tools enabled.
I already tried that, nothing happened. I cant do that when I have -tools enabled.
OK, does your models have the tint without the tools? If so, why not do the graphics settings without the tools, then go back to them..
I already tried that, nothing happened. I cant do that when I have -tools enabled.
Yes you can, press the record button in the Source Filmmaker, then bring up the console so that the menu on the left is displayed, go to Options. You know the rest. [tab]Yay 400 posts.[/tab]
OK, does your models have the tint without the tools? If so, why not do the graphics settings without the tools, then go back to them..
When I don't have the tools, the tint is still there. When i do the graphic settings it doesn't fix it either. Also, here is my autoexec:
sv_cheats 1 mat_picmip -10 mp_usehwmmodels 1 mp_usehwmvcds 1 mat_specular 1 mat_normalmaps 1

Stop Agreeing your own posts. I'm saying it could look through your Hard Drive at any time. The likely hood of them implementing it is low but any program can do it.
How illegal can it be if you own the game?
Because you don't own the Beta version and you don't own SFM
A little birdie told me our Valvic overlords aren't very fond of people using this.
A little birdie told me our Valvic overlords aren't very fond of people using this.
Well, doh. I doubt any company would be fond of people using their internal tools. (Whether they added them in an earlier stage of the game or not).
Because you don't own the Beta version and you don't own SFM
:saddowns: But it's still content left in an old version of the game, are you saying that if in the next update valve fuck up and put inside backgrounds and models made for the update scheduled for months later and they remove them, if you don't update TF2 when said content is removed, will it be illegal? I've read about the bugginess of this, though, so I'll just wait until Valve releases it officially. Maybe this leak will make them release it sooner?
A little birdie told me our Valvic overlords aren't very fond of people using this.
I request a source
I request a source
Source denied, people apparently don't care anyway. I'm just saying though, Valve has a history of dealing with this kind of thing, it's up to you guys to make the right decision.
Woah, that video is beautiful.
How about you try. mat_bumpmap 1
I think it messed it up:
