I just shot a movie I really like, I'm waiting for it to render :frown: Huurrryyy uppppp.... [editline]01:03AM[/editline] Thanks for the tutorials by the way Panda. [editline]01:26AM[/editline] Ok it's done.
I take it that you made the animation with an external program right?
its ingame
While you guys are playing with your super long necks I decided to some serious animating. But halfway through I noticed that that default animation of the model (if you animating a puppet) still blends into your own animation. Thats fine and all but not when you have that heavy breathing for example the scout apply to the lower part of the body when sitting down, that just looked weird. So anyone found out how to remove animation from different bones completely? Anyhow, something I wipped up quickly! :)
It's like GMod, except for free and far more harder to use but still particularly nice but without the Lua and 100% more stick-it-to-the-man-li-ness!
Would be nice to have such a "move joints" feature in Gmod (kind of like there already is for the fingers, you see)
Don't be hatin' on the giraffes.
It's like GMod, except for free and far more harder to use but still particularly nice!
You cant animate in gmod :)
You cant animate in gmod :)
There used to be a keyframe tool, but I think it's broken.
oh this pisses me off, ive used 5 hours on things thing, but all my characters only have the weapon + arm model when using moving camera. help? E: A fudge, i forgot "set new camera" Box me. Bring em on!
its ingame
Wait what, holy fuck. Amazing! I did actually read about some of you mentioning some sort of animation tool but I figured that was just something to help the importation of external animation. Lets hope Valve releases the SFN soon since I love animation!
Why do you always have to put "By Fearlezz" on your videos? Well anyways, how did you get the camera moving, did you just noclip around or what, cause that's some very good controlling if that's the case? And uhh, how do you get your movement to be that smooth?

I see you guys liked the tutorial :v: Anyway, anyone know how to properly alpha channel textures? (e.g, making the doors completely invisible so they don't overlap in movies?) ALSO: When recording a moving camera, untick record world on the recording dialogue. No viewmodels or world models of your cameraman to deal with :D
Just a bleedin' shame we have do do hack and morally questionable things to get a hold of this. I don't want to do illegal downloads to get this. I wish someone would come up with some way of getting the tools out so we can add the content ourselves.
So no one knows how to fix the issue I'm having then? Relaunching / reloading doesn't work
working on a "scout flipping the bird" video and some more rendering looks awesome edit: crashed :((((((((
OP here, i see you guys have made lots of progress with this tool already =P. So, has anyone got the vtf header issue fixed so i can load me up some custom maps?
OP here, i see you guys have made lots of progress with this tool already =P. Hey mind updated the op with the videos from the thread as examples? =D

Please, someone try and sort out the vtf issue though, it would mean a lot to me =P
From a bunch of ghost in a static camera, to custom animations and moving camera We've progressed!
So I'm no the only one having that issue
With the viewmodel arms? I haven't figured a way to get rid of them after they're there. To keep them from showing up before you record, see my post a few lines up.

Try fucking around with that to get a non-idle animation or something.
