rendering 30 dispensers takes too long, i am impatient
Hey guys, goldrush video was made using this. Check the last CP
Always wondered, was there a version of the map released like that? I noticed alot of change made to the final stage (especially around the explosion point). and also, around 0:44, the tower from Meet the Sniper.
Hey guys, goldrush video was made using this. Check the last CP
So many memories from the first goldrush. ;_;
rendering 30 dispensers takes too long, i am impatient
Holy fuck, Jimbo, your Nope video sure got popular quickly :v:
Hey guys, goldrush video was made using this. Check the last CP
Are you sure that wasn't the Demo smoother?
Where do you load choreography files .vcds into the animation? I remember seeing it then lost it.
Hey guys, goldrush video was made using this. Check the last CP
What are we looking for? I can't see anything that would suggest SourceFilmmaker over DemoSmoother.
What are we looking for? I can't see anything that would suggest SourceFilmmaker over DemoSmoother.
The last capture point (before the big explosion) The light over it saying which team controls it, there's more than one of them rotating there, just like what happens a lot when people are recording multiple times. but what I don't understand is that he has no players running around, so why there is more than one of the lights.
Are you sure that wasn't the Demo smoother?
At first I thought so too, I think everyone did, but think about it, its sooooooo much easier to do it with the filmmaker that they've always had access too, and you can see the double cp, which doesnt happen with the demo smoother.
What are we looking for? I can't see anything that would suggest SourceFilmmaker over DemoSmoother.
You can do flythroughs like this using the same method you use to manually record a camera movement in the filmmaker, seeing as its twice as easy then the demo smoother, and the double CP it has become quite obvious that valve did infact use this. There is no doubt about it. Edit:
but what I don't understand is that he has no players running around, so why there is more than one of the lights.
You dont need puppets in your map to make a recording at all. The only thing they did was to record the camera movement. You can do that individually, like I have in my videos. Then if you want, you can record puppets running around, but thats not needed for the world entities to be recorded. World entities will still be recorded if you only record the camera movement. Make sense? Edit2: Also, lol, check the ammo packs and health packs after the last cp :ms:

Not QUITE the last CP, that's what confused me.
Also, fun fact in Prelude to Victory (the first source film maker production) at around 2:38 you can hear weapons being spawned. :v:
Hey guys! I think most of you have seen one of my videos, and I figured this was the main place to help/get help with SFM. Lastest: [hd]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nknJcCWUvPE[/hd] Has anybody tried to open a demo with SFM yet?
I just restarted and i could change class
yeah, thats the solution cheers
That happens when you press esc or ~ when not filming and in the in-game mode. If you already have recorded material, switch to Tools mode, save, and restart SFM.
Awesome, shame there was no killing in there. I WANT BLOOD!
What are you talking about two scouts died! The one at the end and the one the heavy was shooting at (it was off camera, but if you listen closely he does die).
Moving Camera Tutorial Step 1. Record any action the way you normally would. Step 2. Rightclick on your shot in the sequence timeline and press 'Set new camera' Step 3. Click on the camera selector (Work Camera/Active camera button) above the viewport. Step 4. Now we record the path for your camera by moving as you would normally record action. (Sometimes it's recommended that you tick the "Noclip" option before you start the recording). Step 5. Move about. Step 6. Press Esc when you're done your camera-ing. Step 7. Rightclick on the Shot in the timeline. Hit "New Animation Set", and select the camera you used for the recording. Step 8. Open the Animation Set Editor, and press the red circle. Step 9. Now you'll see a shit-ton of lines everywhere on your timeline, and a bar around your time-mover-thingy. Step 10. Drag the right side of bar out (this part is still somewhat confusing to me, I'll have to play around with it some more to figure it out 100%) to the end of your shot. Step 11. You can add effects like smoothing, jittering, etc. by grabing the sliders: Step 12. Play around with it for a while, do a lot of test shots before trying anything in a film. Step 13. Press the Green Arrow to quit the edit-thing mode. Step 14. Right click on your shot > Zoom in Step 15. Make sure you're all the way at the beginning of your clip's timeline. Step 16. Un-tick "Take 1" (or which ever take your camera happened to be) and this will stop your arms from floating around with the camera. (If someone knows how to hide the view model, please tell me) Step 17. Right click on the clip, and Zoom out. Now you should have a fairly decent shot to use for your movies. Just be mindful, when you Un-tick the Camera's take, your arms will still be there, at the exact moment in the time line where you un-ticked it. So just make sure your final shots won't be looking the same direction as where you started the clip. (You can see your floating arms through walls too :frown:)
Need video tutorial. I must've misunderstood something. You're saying that the camera is recorded like when you record the characters? So you can run around with a scout or something around the action, and that'll be your camera? When I try using noclip I fly waaaay too fast, and it all goes wrong. Can you use noclip but slower?
Can someone help me? Where do you load a faceposer animation from choreography editor onto a character in the filmmaker?
Weyzer, change the timescale to like 4.
Can someone help me? Where do you load a faceposer animation from choreography editor onto a character in the filmmaker?
We're still trying to figure that out.
We're still trying to figure that out.
Oh, I swear I saw something when browsing through the filmmaker along the lines of "load .vcd". Are you sure no one else has seen this, I thought people had been using that for their lip-syncing.

I got a youtube partnership. Afraid to actually do it though with the rules, should I do it? I know I don't own Team Fortress 2...
