Perhaps you could take a clue from any other video editor on the planet and drag the edge of your current clip out
If we could only wish we could have the object motion blur in the actual game instead of the sucky fullscreen blur.
This motion blur is much different than object blur like in crysis.
This is more like a camera processes data. Blended images over time. object blur applies a blur depending on it's angle and speed.
I just found out that you can type "changeclass" in console, which makes you able to change class without restarting.

jointeam 3 to join RED
...Not sure which to join BLU. Don't remember.
Also I just figured out you can press F10 and F11 to run and set up your shot BEFORE you record... herp
Is there a command in the source engine that would allow you to render out a zdepth like a fog map? People could use that for DOF effects. Using color correction on the map, you could change how the blur reacts.
Or just use "changeteam" :eng101:

I found out why the render progress dialog is fucked up sometimes. It's when you do renders with higher (or lower) framerate, but the render dialog still thinks it's 24 fps.

That's how the civilian glitch works.
guys, btw, how to record more then 60 secs?
any ideas?
I changed the time-scale in the timeline, and then told it to make more frames per second.
If you've sped it down to, let's just say 0,5, you say 24(FPS)/0,5(time-scale) = 48.
Then in your editor or in V-Dub you just make it 24 FPS by slowing it down, and bam!
sv_noclipspeed x
1 is normal
If it's not exactly that then just type sv_no and it'll be there with acceleration and stuff too.
Remember to have sv_cheats set to 1
Wow, thanks! I was not aware of that command, now making flying cameras will be a breeze :)

You need to search no longer.
Do you mean cross-eyed 3d?
How do you set Depth of Field?
Nevermind, figured it out, aperture
How do you set Depth of Field?

Yes, apparently it's the aperture setting, found under properties of a clip, which hasn't been mentioned anywhere!
How do you set it to focus on the background? It seems it only focuses more and more on foreground objects.
What I want is the foreground to be very blurry, and the background to not be blurry at all.

The variable is called FocalDistance, you can quickly adjust it by holding F and dragging your mouse.
Oh, I got ninja'd

Oh oh, I get it now, but it wasn't very clear in the tutorials.
With F you choose what "layer" you want to put the focus on. Then with aperture you can set the amount of focus/blurriness.

Btw, next step would be finding out how to kill other players? Or the best way to simulate it.
Best way to simulate it would probably be binding a key to "explode" and then press that when you want to simulate death.
Since everyone else is posting their tests, I might as well post mine.
Awesome.

See how'd you do that? Whenever I export anything, it looks like the real game. Did you photoshop it?
(when I say real game, I mean like Weyzers)
Speaking of photoshop:

You need to record it in thirdperson. I just found it out. :)
