What the fuck goes on in your head to come up with this weird-ass videos? :v:
probably best if you don't know
Let's make a contest, who will make much funnier video from jim.
Well, this video isn't funny, but it's pretty damn sweet in my opinion. [hd]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p51T-SZ-CBM[/hd]
I got a Question for all you SFM pioneers out there. I got SFM working, everything runs, I can do everything in the program just fine. Except exporting. And I don't have the same issues most people have had with exporting (the bogus percentage and seconds) Instead my SFM seems to have forgotten that it can render footage completely. After choosing the render settings and pressing 'Export', it simply closes the settings window and acts as if I never asked it to render the video. And I can confirm that a friend of mine also has this problem. So I figure i can't be the only one that's ran into this issue.
Well, this video isn't funny, but it's pretty damn sweet in my opinion. [hd]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p51T-SZ-CBM[/hd]
is that proper 1080? did it export properly at that?
is that proper 1080? did it export properly at that?
Yep, exported at 1080dpi (1920x1080) and Windows Movie Maker'd (don't say a word) it in 1080dpi. Why? Can't get it to work?
it always limited it to some strange resolution higher than 720 but lower than 1080 nomatter how i exported it, could do posters any size but movies couldn't go over that size
If you guys look at the episode one easers, I think you'll find they can be easily receated. It's actually really funny..
I've solved my issue with exporting. Set the SFM shortcut to run as administrator. The program needs write access to be able to export the footage.
Yep, exported at 1080dpi (1920x1080) and Windows Movie Maker'd (don't say a word) it in 1080dpi. Why? Can't get it to work?
it's 1080p not 1080dpi. Besides Youtube isn't actually 1080p, or if it is it downscales to 720p, then upscales. Effectively your max detail on YT is 720p. I've tested it.
Has this messed with anyone's steam installation?
What the fuck goes on in your head to come up with this weird-ass videos? :v:
Are you kidding? He makes the best SFM videos!

I got a question; How do I make the scout say i.e "Booooo!" including corresponding lipsync, without re-recording a new line if the random chooser picks a different Jeers. Or how do I make a scout just lipsync a line, without the voice.
I have no experience with the tool, but I suspect it may have something to do with Episode 1 being singleplayer. Since Gordon Freeman doesn't have a model, you'd repeatedly record an invisible person running past a camera over and over. I hope VALVe implements an ability to use it with any game, and some way to change the ingame third person model when recording.
It would record your viewmodel.
Well, in episode two you have a world model. No animations though.
-snip- Mine magically started working :|
Well, in episode two you have a world model. No animations though.
I remember the old Gmod when multiplayer worked, but wasn't recommended because it was buggy and stuff. Everyone had that model.
Has this messed with anyone's steam installation?
I don't believe so.

For those of you that were asking about WMM and 1080p, it's 1080p is actually 1440x1080 (retarded, I know). Make your own render settings for WMM (google it). Be sure to hit File -> Publish movie, because if you do Publish movie on the left side your custom settings don't appear Even if you have a 720 video and render it in 1080 in WMM then it should come out 1080 (it'd look bad but I think youtube would recognize it as 1080). And it doesn't matter since youtube's 1080 is CRAP
I've been able to get EP1 running as well, however HL2 is becoming finicky. Because it's not in a subdirectory it makes things a bit tricky. Running the SFM just makes it crash. I'll see if I can make any more progress for tonight.
Am I doing it right?
Testing cameras and animation smoothing. Also 99 subscribers
