I left my render on all night, and when I woke up it was finished. Hooray, right? Well the wav file is 44 bytes and doesn't play. Any ways to fix? Tried re-exporting just the sound but it turned out to be that exact size again.

(At least, that's what I do)
Alright thanks.
Here, have a nice background. Exported it while making a 9 min movie in sfm.
9 mins? Awesome
Can you run steam and tf2 beta at the same time?
Can you run steam and tf2 beta at the same time?
Can you run steam and firefox at the same time?

[hd]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_QFcIPpr8yg[/hd] Testing hl2 maps. As a note: trying this the way djshox did it with portal will result in a crash on startup. The simplest way (for hl2 anyways) is to just drag and drop maps/models/materials to your tf directory. I've only tested with hl2 however.
I meant, is it safe to run tf2 beta while on steam.
I meant, is it safe to run tf2 beta while on steam.
I do it, however I've only had SFM for a day, so I cannot guarantee.
I meant, is it safe to run tf2 beta while on steam.
no you're *ss will get VAC banned -_-
no you're *ss will get VAC banned -_-
Oh em gee ur so funni XDXD-0-0=!1!!?!
God damn it I keep getting a memory overflow after I record a couple puppets...
Have any of you guys tried importing the new textures? From what I read, each and every vtf has to get converted back to the old vtf version which tf2 beta supports. Has anyone done it and willing to upload the textures, because it will take forever to convert, unless someone knows an easy method.
I posted a list of all the .vtfs that had to be edited, around 2,000 of them. I'm still looking for a Hex editor that allows the same edit over multiple files. However, uploading those edited texture files would be redistributing copyrighted content from the TF2 GCF.
Hey, does anybody know how I might be able to get a friend into my server? Whenever I use the technique that I use to host on any other singleplayer or multiplayer game, he can't join. Is there a reason? Or does SFM just not like to work with more than one player?
Does your friend happen to have the TF2 beta also? What error message does he get? (Console, y'know.)
Connection Failed After 4 Retries Which is strange, he can connect to me on any other source game I host, so why not TF2? oh and yes, he does have tf2 beta.
Connection Failed After 4 Retries Which is strange, he can connect to me on any other source game I host, so why not TF2? oh and yes, he does have tf2 beta.
Have you ever tried hosting a server with the TF2 beta, but without the tools, and made him connect with the TF2 beta, but without the tools also?

[editline]07:32PM[/editline] And having the beta is pretty much illegal anyway.
On the subject of multiplayer, I decided to try one of the random patches I found, and ever since, my friend can see when I host a server...but he doesn't want to get the TF2 beta, so I can't test it.
Getting tf2 beta for multiplayer is sad, you should have it just for source film maker.
Here, have a nice background. Exported it while making a 9 min movie in sfm.
Was that dumped at native 1080p? Looks jagged on the powerlines.
Getting tf2 beta for multiplayer is sad, you should have it just for source film maker.
Well, if you record some demos while playing, gives you some easier ways to have the actors interact instead of trying to time deaths and explosions...
Is there a way to move, let's say, a dispenser in sfm? I tried selecting all it's bones and moving them but it didn't seem to work.
Is there a way to move, let's say, a dispenser in sfm? I tried selecting all it's bones and moving them but it didn't seem to work.
You have to select the root_transform bone.
Anyone managed to get Sound exporting correctly? Whenever I try to export, I just get ambient noise.
Anyone managed to get Sound exporting correctly? Whenever I try to export, I just get ambient noise.
How are you exporting? I just get a corrupt file for sound.
Have you guys tried exporting WAV only to your desktop?
Just tried, got the same corrupted file. Or rather, it's not corrupted as much as it's just empty. (44 bytes)
