No you wouldn't. I don't agree that the pink hats or whatever is destroying TF2 (or whatever), but your posts are just getting stupid. Yeah, you would bitch if everything was inverted.
Actually he couldn't be mad about anything. His account's disabled.
Actually he couldn't be mad about anything. His account's disabled.
That's the joke.
Are you the guy who sits in the corner while everyone else does the Soulja boy dance and enjoys themselves because you think its stupid?
I did a video search for "Soulja Boy dance" to see what you were referring to. I am almost certain that this is the kind of thing that our kids are going to laugh at us about.
what if valve added an update that changed the heavy's playermodel to a bear? would you praise them because it's new content?
Bad example; Heavy as a bear was already done as a skin, and it was awesome.
That's the joke.
Why the hell are you still on this subforum if you can't even play TF2 anymore?
People are disgruntled because much of the new content that Valve has recently implemented into the game is - quite frankly - bad. Even before the update, hats were beginning to stray away from matching the character of the class which they were attributed to; particle effects and customization option worsen this, as they violate not only design principles but aesthetic principles. If you want to look at the update for what it is, just look at Valve's own advice. Also, hats are completely fucking stupid in and of themselves. It is almost all the community talks about these days, and I can't stand it personally. This community used to be one of the most inventive and clever out there, but now it just eats up whatever Valve throws at it, and obsesses over aesthetic trinkets rather than the game itself. By the way, NEUFDANIELS is just being a contrarian; ignore him until he makes a legitimate point.
all you ever do is whine [editline]05:25AM[/editline] you guys make it sound like tf2 was a realistic war simulator before hats were introduced
you have yet to make a decent point so i'm going to assume you're being contrarian for the sake of it. you really can't argue that pink and green hats don't go against the color palettes of tf2, valve even posted their color schemes on the contribute page.
The only thing I don't like about the update is Your Eternal Reward and the fact that it reduced my FPS to an average of 25.
Don't use it then. It's a downgrade anyway
....obsesses over aesthetic trinkets rather than the game itself.
:irony: You know that you're obsessing over them yourself right? They're just silly trinkets. Ignore them and just play the game. They don't affect gameplay and no one is going to shove them down your throat.
some of them actually do interfere with gameplay. for example, the sunrays hat effect which stands out like a sore thumb. it really makes a good distraction.
I've never seen that effect. Can you show me an example or something?
i don't have any screenshots but i'm sure you could dig one up in the SPUF or something. i know most hat shit doesn't interfere with gameplay but that's not the point. they still interfere with tf2's original visual aesthetics, which some of us actually want to maintain.
Hey, there's a price for being Straight Up G.
This does not look that bad to me.
you kidding? he looks like a goddamn human sunflower. who would actually want to wear that
I don't know about you guys, but I tend to find myself not paying that much attention to the hats, no matter what color. But that's just me.
This does not look that bad to me.
oh MY GOD TF2 IS RUINeD
you kidding? he looks like a goddamn human sunflower. who would actually want to wear that
I would. Shit, I would wear a hat that actually makes the character's head the center of a sunflower. That'd be pretty cool.
Doesn't the extra particle effects also lower fps? Like the halo particles did?
all you ever do is whine [editline]05:25AM[/editline] you guys make it sound like tf2 was a realistic war simulator before hats were introduced
If you met me in reality, you would know that I am by no means whining. Perhaps that is how you read what I write. While I did "whine" in saying that "hats are fucking stupid", that was more brought on by your infuriating insistence on purporting false indifference. Saying "no" isn't an argument. TF2 was never a traditional FPS. That was what I enjoyed so thoroughly about the title, it's deliberate deviation from the norm - not into the realm of utter absurdity (the path which it seems intent on following now), but into a world of style, of class. TF2 was different, but in a good way. Now it is different, but in a bad way. You cannot deny that TF2 has become a different game. I try to play the game. I stressed this point in another thread: Team Fortress 2 now parallels a capitalist society in that participants are continuously bombarded with reminders of their material circumstance. The item drop system, the Mann Co. store and its presence on the game's menu, and the near-endless discussion of hats and trading all support this. It is difficult to find a recluse from the perpetual reiteration of the relative important of "material" (in this case, virtual) possessions. I am finding it more difficult to enjoy this once-unique game. I see other people are beginning to feel similarly. Can you at least understand my point of view?

I think you're forgetting your original rant, now you're just having a rant, why not rant to ValvE? What do you think WE are going to do? care?
I just want my good old TF2 back, I nostalgia thinking about it and then I'm sad because I remember that I'll never get it back.
TF2 is a FPS with 9 classes, each with unique weapons and abilities. There are many maps and with many different objectives for them. TF2 is no different to me than it was before. It's the same shit with hats put on top. Same shit from 3 years ago.
:saddowns: [editline]10:50PM[/editline] I don't have a 360 either.
I think you're forgetting your original rant, now you're just having a rant, why not rant to ValvE? I, however, do not enjoy having them with petulant morons - which is what the lot of you are gradually revealing yourselves to be. I feel like I have to draw a graph, or publish a coloring book to draw from the shallow depths of your mind some fragment of reason.
You cannot deny that TF2 has become a different game.
I can and I do.
Team Fortress 2 now parallels a capitalist society
What.
Again, "no" is not an adequate answer. I'm not expecting a real one, I am just pointing it out.

I admire the man in this conversation, for he has quite the way with how he inserts words in order to confuse us and make us feel pitiful for not having the appropriate grammar level!
