People hate it because the concept of people having sex with animals is repulsive, which is where the origin of furries begins. Not only do some want to have sex with animals, they want animals that look like people, and in some cases want to be the animal instead of the human. Those people are looked down upon, especially on the internet. It's like Christianity. It's a belief. Some people don't share that belief. Some people even think their belief is better than yours, which is where fights break out over whether being a furry is disgusting or just a lifestyle choice. Furries are often regarded as gay, as there are quite a few more homosexual furries than straight, which is as of now an unproven fact. Whether you like furries or not is your opinion, and your opinion will never be changed, because this is the internet. Arguments on the internet are not won by anyone, they are only lost. See, if you post a thread about anything containing furries, there will be people that flock to it just to say how much they hate furries and then leave, then there are people like me that get associated with furries just because I defend their lifestyle choices. I am by no means a furry, but because I support people doing things other than what YOU (meaning you, the reader of this paragraph) want them to do, or what YOU (same as before) think is right and wrong, I am instantly a gay retarded faggot furry and should leave the internet. Renamon is a digimon character that is vaguely humanoid and appears to have breasts. Humanoid animals at all are instantly recognized as furries whether you know how old they are (1990s in this case) or not. Digimon existed before the concept of the furry was even imagined, back when furry meant soft or cuddly instead of "super-faggot that has sex with animals on the internet". But, like I said, my opinion is mine and yours is yours and there is no changing any of that.

No they don't. Their only reasoning is that furries are disgusting because people should not have sex with animals. That is the only basic reason people dislike furries.
