Why did the Striker defect from his old team?
I see it as realizing the lack of teamwork when fighting with his old comrades. He knew about the other clandestine conflict, and heard rumors of much more talented troops who demostrate a much deeper level of teamwork. Eager to fight with a team of great talents, he defects.
I'd like to hear your take on this defection.

Here's my version.
Some sod who has an unhealthy obsession with a chinese ripoff of TF2 decides to stop trying to legally act against the devs by spamming their forums. Instead he takes a class from the aforementioned ripoff, turns him into an OC [sp]do not steal[/sp], by photoshopping him into a "TF2 Style", then goes and writes a brief crap fanfic about his new Character.
Ok, no explicit backstory, then.
Just say its a defection and leave it at that.
