Really long respawns (20+ seconds)
Razorbacks
Razorbacks can be annoying, all you need to do is just get out your revolver, crouch ten shoot him.
ANYWAYS, I don't really like The fact on how some people just know WHERE u are when you are a spy, although you are clocked and didn't get bumped by anything.
[editline]12:32PM[/editline]
OH, also, when you are in a duel with another player, and you loose.
Not a huge fan of the ghost crits the miniguns are so fond of.
Beyond that, TF2 has one of the highest incidences I've ever experienced of one team being completely shit out of luck and getting steamrolled (Though to be fair, steamrollers aren't usually as fast) repeatedly and consistently to the point it isn't even fun for either team. You're either fighting two or three enemies per round because they're losing so fast, or spending the majority of the time respawning just to get blown to pieces before you even get to the point you supposedly still own. Only common denominator seems to be me and my habit of joining RED when possible, but I don't think I'm so horrid I can drag down 15 other people.
Oh, and the Huntsman. Every time I have an uber ready, an arrow comes right the fuck out of nowhere and impales me before I can even pretend I hit the button, or I'm just about to escape a battle with the barest sliver of health, etc.
-Razorback snipers on your team
-Players that don't know their place (rushing snipers and spies, scouts that use teleporters, heavies that camp in every single map)
-Low ping limits (around 110-150)
-Reserved player slots
-Micspammers (mainly the ones with only 1 or 2 sound files)
-Players that are not credit to team
-Whiners
-Useless buildings in stupid places
-The pro players always being on the enemy team
-W+M1
Being able to play 4 and a half hours straight without a single fucking drop.
gettin into a mini fight with an enemy (one on one) and then in the midst of it all another enemy will come out and kill you while you and the other guy are swinging at each other like madmen with your melee weapons
Medics that don't heal when consulted for healing and/or just stand there when a Heavy asks to be followed and Uber'd.
So, basically, "don't be mean to anyone, even if your teammates are utter idiots that focus on one Engineer and his Sentry"?
Yes. Why is this such a difficult concept to grasp?
irony at its best
I posted a rant in a rant thread. Why click on a rant thread if you don't want to read rants?
I never said trying to win was wrong. I said people who react negatively toward others in-game are wrong. Yeah, your team may not be cooperating, but that is no reason to yell at them and act like a total fuckwad. What do you stand to gain by yelling at your teammates? How can you possibly think that that'll make them want to try harder, knowing that their effort is unappreciated?
Encourage them politely and try again next time. It's just a game. Winning isn't everything, especially when losses are never recorded anyway.
Agree x 10000000000.....
Yes. Why is this such a difficult concept to grasp?
Because some people are just too damn stubborn and incompetent to warrant the wubby-dubby kindness you give to anyone else.
Nothing in TF2 itself. I think the game's fine and I love it and have loads of fun every time I play on any map with any class on any team.
It's the people I hate. It's almost as if I'm the only person who has ever played TF2 just to have fun. I don't care if I lose; at least I'm having fun playing the game and trying my best. But I rarely ever see anyone else share those same sentiments.
There's nothing I despise more than people who whine about their team. People who tell others to go different classes, people who blame others for their death, people who get all worked up and angry when the team loses, and most of all people who tell their team that the team sucks.
If you fit any of these descriptions, please allow me to say this to you: Nobody wants to hear it. Shut up. People pick their classes the way they want to because that's what they want to play as; don't fucking tell them what to do. "Hurp durp why do we have three Snipers? GO SOMETHING USEFUL." Shut the fuck up. We have three Snipers because three people want to play Sniper. Why don't you be useful by holding the frontlines so the Snipers can pick off attackers from a safe distance? That's their Valve-given job, so do your part to make the team work by helping them perform their job.
To those of you who get mad at the game when you lose a round: Nobody wants to hear it. Shut up. This one is just plain and simple. It's just a game. And you know what? It's a team-oriented game. The only thing you should be doing at the end of a losing round is either sitting quietly or congratulating your team on a great effort. Better luck next time. You have no idea the wonders that attitude works on a team's overall attitude. I've often found that having a positive attitude over microphone will often get everyone else to chime in and be positive too. And then, once everyone is communicating and friendly, they start to help each other and watch each other's backs. Corny-sounding, I know, but it really is the way it works. I find it funny that often a team does terribly BECAUSE of someone's negative attitude.
Finally, to those of you who feel the need to tell your team that they suck: Nobody wants to hear it. Shut up. You are the worst kind of person in Team Fortress 2. I don't give a shit if you won x tournaments and have x playtime hours with x kills per death. You are not a one-man army. You are on a team. Surely you realize that to win a game as a team, everyone on the team must help each other out and work together, right? So what good do you think you're doing by telling them all that they suck? What is your point? These people are supposed to work together with you, and you're telling them right out that they're terrible. So now that they know that you're all pissy and angry and think they're bad at the game, what do you think is going to compel them to help you and work with you for the next round? Nothing. They WON'T want to help you the next round, they won't want to work together with you, and they will generally just want to ignore you. Great job, you just broke up the team and spread your bitterness around. Now nobody wants to try. That really is how it works. Is that the effect you were going for? I've never really understood the people who do this. It's even worse when the person who tells their team off is one of the better if not best players on the team. Great job, best player, you just caused your whole team to cut support from you and not want to work together with the best guy there.
The worst part of all this is that I see at least one of these kinds of people almost every other game. It makes me mad. That's why I try my best to be polite and congratulatory to my team, so that they feel more confident and try a bit harder together. I dole out lots of thanks, lots of nice jobs/nice shots, lots of nice tries, and generally lots of positivity. Most importantly, I NEVER tell people how to play the game. I give helpful advice every so often, but I never tell someone what class they need to pick or that they're playing terribly. It really does contribute toward a better, closer-knit team than you think.
This, 100%.
I also hate it when you melee challenge, but they just continue shooting you. I mean, come the fuck on.
When a team has multiple engineers, and they all build sentries right next to each other as opposed to spreading them out. It's basically ASKING for a demoman to come in and destroy it all with a couple of pipes or stickies. And of course, you don't cover as much area. It's especially annoying when you're an engie and you get your sentry up first then other people put all theirs on top of yours.
Can't find my good ol' Starhub servers (asian server's btw)
Other things I hate:

Obvious stacking

Reserved slots

"premium" cash4hax

People who complain about micspam. There is a mute menu, you know. After I've muted the spammer, I usually have somebody yelling "SHUT UP!!" in my ears. I've ended up muting half the server in the past
Class restrictions.
Nightteam and Saigns.de
"Is someone gonna push the freakin cart?!"
When I die to a random crit rocket, that came out of nowhere!
:words:
Disagree. I have fun when I'm on a good team and we win. When I see that my team isn't even a team because they're stacking shitty ass solo classes like scout, sniper, or spy, then I rage hard and ask them to switch to something more useful. I'm not asking for much. If you want to play just to have fun, go play on a custom map or a dm_ map, where teamwork is hardly a big deal.
That I suck at it.
Nightteam and Saigns.de
Nightteam isn't so bad, aside from the bots.
I've been shooting a soldier for five minutes, he rolls a lucky crit, and the freezecam shows I haven't been doing any damage to him
When I'm chasing someone like a lone scared medic, their backwards running speed seems to be equal or faster than your forward speed.
Medics do walk faster than any other class except scouts.
When I'm chasing someone like a lone scared medic, their backwards running speed seems to be equal or faster than your forward speed.
Which quickly turns to be the contrary when YOU are being chased.
Disagree. I have fun when I'm on a good team and we win. You're acting like teamwork has to be super serious business with dire consequences for losing. Playing the game to have fun and playing to win are not two different things. You can do both, you know. You can play to the best of your ability while having fun. As for losing, it's called taking a loss and not being a crybaby.
Why are you even playing a video game if it isn't for relaxation and recreation? Stressing yourself even during entertainment can lead to serious health issues.
I dislike a lot of hats but I don't think they ruin the game or anything.
Also I hate that no good servers run RMF anymore.
This, 100%.
I also hate it when you melee challenge, but they just continue shooting you. I mean, come the fuck on.
Melee's are dumb and unbalanced and I'm not going to risk dying when I can easily kill you. The situation is practically always me beating the other guy to a pulp, then he goes WAIT TIME OUT LET ME GET OUT MY HIGH CRIT CHANCE WEAPON SO I CAN STILL WIN DESPITE NOT DESERVING IT
Occasionally I'll melee fight but I hate melees and I'd rather just finish you off with another rocket.
