Shouldn't people any age to able to do whatever they want if they bought the game? The age recommendations are just what the are, recommendations. Not rules. ESRB shouldn't exist.
They're rules, if a 12 year old walks into a shop, theres a reason they wont sell him tf2. But usually his mummy is with him :sigh:
I think there's a serious misunderstanding on both sides of this argument. You seem to be under the impression that everyone who rages, cusses, or tells their team to get their ass in gear, yells. Which they, and I, do not. Usually. I'm under the impression you're trying to coddle your team, treating them like kids, which they're usually not. So let's try this again:
When I've been one of two non-Spy/Sniper classes on the team for the past 5 minutes and have been barely able to keep them from spawn camping us, and I go to change my class and see that there's only two people on the team actually being useful, everyone else is just leaving spawn and dieing on their way to sniping spot/failing to do anything as a Spy, yes I rage. But I do not yell at them to change classes. I rage at them to change classes, but I do not yell. Yelling is a waste of effort and makes you look like a five year old, and nobody listens to kids in this game.
Most of the time, these people don't even realize there's so many of them. And no, that's not a reason to ask nicely with pretty please and sprinkles on top. That's a reason to tell them to change classes. Next time they die, or if they're already dead, they're going to look at the classes and go "Oh shit, why do we have 4 Spies and 4 Snipers? Better go Soldier" - or whatever - "so we've got some damage soak down there." And then, magically, the team starts doing better because one guy has no problem sounding like an asshole to get their team's ass in gear.
Never anywhere in my original page one post did I say "yell". I'm not talking about yelling, I'm talking about raging in general and being an asshole. I'm talking about raging, cussing, and telling your team to get their ass in gear. I don't care if you yell or not, it's still unacceptable behavior and is ultimately being a jerk in what should be a clean, fun environment. So let's try this again:
You've been one of the two non-Spy/Sniper classes on the team for the past five minutes and have barely been able to keep the other team from spawn camping your team. You go to change your class and see that there's only two people on the team being "useful" and everyone else is just leaving spawn and dying. You rage.
Oops! Here's where you messed up. You just got mad at a video game where winning doesn't matter. A video game is something you're supposed to play on your free time to have fun. It's entertainment. There is NO NEED to take it seriously whatsoever. Guess what? That's what everyone else on your team is doing. They're there to unwind and play a video game for entertainment and fun. They're taking a break from school or work, where they get harped on all day. They don't want some uptight teammate of theirs cracking a whip and telling them to do better. Team Fortress 2 is not a job. Team Fortress 2 is a video game.
Another thing that's been bothering me is how everyone keeps trying to rebut my argument by calling it "babying the team" and being a "hippie". Guess what? Being nice to people is not "babying them". Being nice and courteous is something that is expected of others, especially online. They have a word for this: netiquette. When you are online, you are expected to follow simple netiquette so that any online site or game retains a friendly, enjoyable environment. People come here to the internet to unwind and be entertained. Nobody cares for uptight, serious people breathing down their neck about how they use their free time on the internet, ESPECIALLY in a team-oriented game like Team Fortress 2 where winning and losing has no bearing on your lasting stats.
So, as I've repeated time and time again, if you MUST suggest to your team that they should switch classes to help win, then do it politely and courteously. It's not "babying" and it's not "treating them like kids". Little kids are the ones who throw fits and whine about things that don't matter. Adults are expected to treat their peers with respect and equality, and that's exactly what you should do.

That's why you have to use class tokens.
Anyway, I hate people who yell at other people about how they aren't doing what they want.

Apparently, people do not understand that balanced teams means longer games.

Per hour, you only have 0.4% chance to get a hat. So if you somehow saved up your hours, and used it all in one moment, you would of had a 49.08 percent chance of getting a hat
Per 4 hours, you only have 3% chance to get a hat. Possibilities does not add.
No, I did not get mad at the video game. Not in the least. The video game did not make these people stack Snipers/Spies. I got irritated at the players. That's something VASTLY different, although I suspect you don't care and will lump them together anyway.
I didn't 'tell them to do better,' I told them that we were getting destroyed and that if we had more combat classes, we would be able to actually fight back instead of getting all but steamrolled. I don't know if you know this, but nobody likes getting steamrolled. Even trolls eventually get bored of it. Similarly, eventually you get bored of steamrolling the other team. An active fight that could go either way is much more fun for both sides, and driving your team out of being destroyed into a situation they can actually fight back, and push the other team out of your base, provides that fun. Asking politely and nicely and all pretty pony and such, is not going to get that done. Telling the facts - we're getting destroyed, 4 of Spies and Snipers, need more useful classes - no matter how much of an asshole you sound like, will. This is Team Fortress 2, home of some of the biggest asshats in competative gaming. Excluding Counter-Strike and Call of Duty, I don't think anybody can beat them.
If you're not babying your team, maybe you should word your sentences better so it doesn't sound like you're coddling them. Because that's exactly what it sounds like.
As for being nice and it being expected, not in a game that's all about killing people with rocket launchers, grenade launchers, and sniper rifles. Being relatively friendly to your team is suggested, but it's not required - at least, that's what I've gathered from most of the games I played. Although I think we have differing definitions on 'nice,' friendly =/= nice. To me, nice is treating them like you know them and like them, or you know them and don't like them, but don't want them to know that. Being friendly is waving at your neighbors as they pass you going down the road, even if you don't know who the hell they are.
Well, I guess 95% of the Team Fortress 2 community are little kids. And I want my blankie.

You're just a sad, angry man who plays video games and gets angry at people on the internet. I hope you don't have this "get angry at everyone I don't personally know" attitude in your non-internet relations, because it certainly won't get you very far in the way of friends.

And More :v:
RTD (Hurp, won instant kill, run around with pistol, annihilated the entire team.
RTD is only fun on maps that don't end like duel_arena but otherwise, I wouldn't want RTD on dustbowl.
How hard it is to hit enemies with melee weapons.
Players who not only have skill but also a shitload of luck.
The kind of players that somehow manage to get away from 20 heavies with 5 HP left and are always surrounded by their team while getting thousands of kills.
How much the FaN can blow :downsrim:
I usually play spy so this is the main things I hate as spy.
1) It's the most annoying thing as a spy when no matter how hard you try to avoid an enemy when cloaked and running in to there base they some how manage to move into you, even when you do everything to try and avoid them there's still one guy who walks into you and now knows your there. The amount of occasions where an enemy demoman is fighting and I'm walking past him suddenely he strafes into me and shoots me in the face even though that wasn't his intention.
2) PYROS bloody pyros, the most annoying class in the world. Even if they don't know you exist and your cloaked 9 times out of 10 they'll find you some how. The amount of times I've literally waltz into a base and it's all safe and clear, suddenly I uncloak and out of nowhere a pyro comes round the corner. Or when I'm entering a base and there's some huge firefight and I notice pyros I try and stear clear of them but somehow before I know it they manage to set me on fire. Or how about when a pyro is on his own, not in a firefight, doing nothing whatsoever and you walk past him, he hasn't seen you, you haven't touched him but suddenely just for his own pleasure he decides to spray the flamethrower randomly and boom gets you.
2) People that turn literally 0.0000001 of a second as you backstab them.
3) When a backstab completes the animation entierly but doesn't actually kill the person, this happens a lot when the enemy is moving very fast and I manage to get him but I get jack shit.
4) Somebody on your own team ruining your plans, I've had situations where I've gone into the enemies base everything clear, loads of enemies to backstab all with there backs turned, and suddenely some retarded spy on my team tries to get them but completely fails at spy, before I know it I've got blown up instead of them!
5) A heavy that can actually detect spies, I know it's hard to believe but there are some.
hats :fuckyou:
Also when I'm just walking around as a heavy minding my own business with full health when some scout from the other team shoots me from behind and kills me in one shot and I get a freeze cam of him running away that always fucking annoys me it's like the demo waving his ass at me.
And Snipers who taunt after EVERY SHOT THEY FUCKING MAKE.
Or those players who after they kill you shout on the mic in their loud whiny voice "OH YEAH I OWNED YOU BITCH SUCK MY DICK CAUSE YOU JUST GO OWNED!"
Servers with fake player count. Like you go on a server, wait 3 minutes for it to load and when you get in there is no one there even though it says the server has 30/31 player.
Also the fact that it sometimes takes 3 hits with eyelander to kill a pyro ofc that noob will just look at you and fry you while you try to cut off his head.
When someone tries to do a melee only thing that there is always this one scout/pyro/soldier who never melees ever.
And axtinguisher pyros.
Probably the recent spread of RULE 34 FFFFFFFF-

Thats how Real men destroy things
-Reserved slots-Like it says 30/32 or 31/32 but when you try to join it says 'Sorry this slot is reserved"
-Getting kicked for reserved slots-I join when its like 29/32 but then it says "Disconnected:Kicked for slot reservation" or something like that
-Fake player count-I see a server that says something like 30/32, I join but its only like 10 people
-When I join a game of like 30 people and people start to leave, leaving it down to like 25
-When some custom content I have works but then the other half is fucked on some servers
When someone tries to do a melee only thing that there is always this one scout/pyro/soldier who never melees ever.

I'm an axtinguisher pyro.
puff n sting is the best thing a pyro can do in case of multiple enemies
1. RIDICULOUS Respawn times, I've been on a server with a 30 second respawn time
2. NOT Micspammers, as long as they play epic music.
3. Kids.
4. When all these snipers on 2Fort are duking it out and you're a spy trying to get in on the sniper backs that are just sitting there, and you can't do that, so you switch to sniper, and they've all changed to another class, so you're sitting there with your sniper rifle/huntsman all by your lonesome.
God I hate that.
