I go there as it's good fun to play around with other people (you may see, there are other clan members in the game), i'm just as good with any other class on any other map.

Disagree. I liked it without updates and the Vanilla gamemode that could be implemented would be a great addition, but I've never seen anyone thinking they're better just because they have hats.
That may be just me, because I always thought hats looked good but never really cared about them.
I kinda liked the updates. Added a lot of variety.

You don't get the point. Custom skins include texture hacks, known in other games as wallhacks or whatever.
Giving the Spy a shiny green effect when he cloaks wouldn't be fair, that's why sv_pure disallows it.

Of the 3 people that use texture hacks, most of them know how to avoid SV_Pure servers. The main people being hit by this shit are the folks who are using innocent custom models.
