Is that gets in and doesn't have stats that involves overhealing.
- Half ubercharge rate
+ Double Overheal
Or..something..

Ahh yes the double medi-gun of DOOM or in other words the overhealer.
Quick, someone model it and add direct hit scopes to it!
Quick, someone model it and add direct hit scopes to it!
Can someone link a picture of that 50 scope direct hit or whatever, I can never find it.

Ubercharge type : minicrits and no self damage
+30% quicker charge
On double jump : use 15% uber to launch explosive healing beam on your feet (so you can heal-jump to follow your pocket soldier)
Well that's how I see it.
wouldn't adding bodygroups help performance? Right now the Pyro's tank is still fully rendered with the player, along with the new tank attachment, meaning double the cost.
Not really. If you make a model with no sub meshes and one material it's just one draw call to render the whole thing. If you add more materials to your model it increases the amount of draw calls. Body groups I'm not entirely sure about but they do divide the model into further sub meshes which most likely requires a further draw call to render. Now when the Pyro runs around with his default head, grenades and tank that'll be a further 3 draw calls per Pyro to render which will cripple your frame rate more than a higher triangle count would.

Oh doktor, you so kinky
Wow, it's official. The positiveness of the response to my concept art posts is inversely proportional to my self-esteem when writing them.
My first post here was when I arrived directly from SPUF, where idea-havers are plentiful and modelers are nearly nonexistent. The post was filled with apologetic disclaimers, and got a fuckbunch of win- and artisticvotes. By now, two of the concepts therein have been modeled, and people have offered to model three more of them.
I gained some confidence and occasionally posted new concepts with less apologies attached (Psychotic hobo Santa set for Soldier, beatnik turtleneck for Spy, bodyguard set for Heavy), and those got more or less ignored. Of my in my opinion aesthetically coolest three ideas (Firewood axe and enamel mask for Pyro, salad fork for Spy) two only got dumbvoted and one just got pinky-related comments. When I now posted a shoddily drawn pic of a meh-y concept, I got winvoted within seconds.
Soo.. I am the lowest of living creatures, unworthy of the dirt in which I crawl. Does anyone feel like modeling this?

Actually I was going to try
Also learning to model is easy, I learned in one day. Ok, improving your skills will spend more time, but eh, it´s something. And I can say that here you will get better quickly.

Yeah, I suppose. I decided to learn Hammer instead though. I'm still going through the trial-and-error stage with that, and I don't have the time to learn to model as well.

Styles~
Also, is it just me or did TF2's christmas come and go like 2000x faster than it should've? I remember someone saying a comunity christmas update and I see nothing. We didn't get BMOC's or Ebenezer's or anything. All we got was that Grinch reference thing asking us to spend $400 on presents to show how big our hearts (wallets) are.
Styles are not and never were an option; if it looks bad here, it'll look bad there too.
Hey you stole my straps! :/
Could have at least mentioned it...
Ah flip I knew I'd seen them somewhere. Must've stuck in my mind whilst making the darn thing.
Either way it's complements to you for keeping the design stuck in my head long enough for me to recreate it subconsciously.
Looks like the paint was a resounding failure. Sorry, Pfy.

I disagree, we need a minigun with a silencer.
try making the bats pummel painted

The wood looks too "on purpose" if that makes any sense.
did you say overhealer ?

Not in the slightest, actually.

Are you saying what I'm saying doesn't make sense or that the wood looks fine ? I meant the wood looks too perfect.
wouldn't adding bodygroups help performance? Right now the Pyro's tank is still fully rendered with the player, along with the new tank attachment, meaning double the cost.
As far as I understand it, they're not stopping adding bodygroups, just pausing in doing so while they examine the impact, if any, on performance to decide whether they should or should not keep adding bodygroups.
[editline]26th December 2011[/editline]
IE, they're trying to prevent making a fuckup because something they think is safe might turn out not to be safe after all.

What exactly could be the "problem" though? As long as LOD's are properly assigned and made for each bodygroup, there shouldn't be a significant change in frame rate or rendering time.
Of course this is company who manages to screw up submissions that are plug-and-play as-is.
