From the perspective of someone who trades constantly for value rather than for the actual hat, I would say it was a bad trade, because the Billycock is extremely hard to get rid of. But if you like the hat, then who cares? It was fine.

He's trading for the value of the hat. Beard is basically half a hat in trading. He got a Heavy Duty Rag, which trades well, for it. That's a great trade.
I went from 7 hats before trading, to 28 hats now. All by doing things like this.
