holy mother of christ
I put on lowest resolution
this would've been bad for a PS1 game holy fuck
I can run everything on max, even chess simulator 1995.
I can run Crysis 2 on max.
For a few minutes. :v:
I can run it on max with 120 FPS.
[sp]Only in the main menu.[/sp]
I need 3 more hours as a medic so I can finally put scout as least played class.
Tell me I'm not the only one who always got some kind of OCD pleasure out of having Engineer as the most played class with the least points and medic as the least played with the most points.
I dunno, it always seemed fitting to me and looked like a cool double-inverted graph thing.
Who the fuck cares if the graphics are shit, at least you're playing a good game
Graphics do affect a game
Assassins Creed 1 was a piece of shit, but it looked nice as hell. It helped me stick around.
Deus Ex 1 is horrid looking (Do not defend it. It didn't age well. It looks like shit and you know it) But it's a fantastic game.
I've made a point to try and keep my computer as up to date as is financially possible. Call it a hobby.
I can't run Skyrim on max settings, but I do pretty good and use mods and optimizers for the rest.
Oh, Did I mention I got Deus Ex: Human Revolution for only 75 cents on there?
Even if the service is shit, that's only 75 cents down the drain; less then a bag of crisps.
That is cheap, but you still need a constant internet connection to play the game. And if the OnLive server are fucking up you can't play the game either.
I've yet to meet a game I cannot run on max settings on this rig.

I had to run tf2 at lowest settings in dx8 mode with multiple graphics reducing mods and a max fps config for a year before I got my gaming rig.
So you shut up.

I am a fan of pretty graphics, tis why I have that cool particle mod for TF2 and run everything on High, but back when I had a shitty computer I ran everything on low and still had fun. Just imagine you're playing on a PS1.

Crysis 2. Go.

What are you talking about? The game looks beautiful.

Funny thing for me is that if I have a problem running a game all I need do is turn the resolution down one option and it runs perfectly. No crashes/etc.

May I inquire about your particle mod good sir?

Graphics are a good things for the eye, but I have seen many games putting lots of useless visuals effects which makes look worse the game. I remember how much I hated Pixel Shader when many games used that white light shading.
I knew I shoulda bought Duke Nukem Forever today :S
That is cheap, but you still need a constant internet connection to play the game. And if the OnLive server are fucking up you can't play the game either.
It's mostly their server's faults, and you'll never get a "Crisp HD Experience", but the game works with surprisingly little mouse-lag.

DNF is terrible tho
Crysis 2. Go.
Buy it for me and I will. Too lazy to get it through other methods.
I should buy DE:HR and run it maxed just to taunt CommanderMayhem.

Good old times of the Unreal Engine.

Just because modern things... and nothing else.

So, you are saying graphics > gameplay? Because if that is what you wanted to say I can't believe it.
DNF is terrible tho
Here we go again.
Buy it for me and I will. Too lazy to get it through other methods.
You don't deserve it. So no.

Shit graphics just take getting used to. Trying to go backwards in terms of graphics is difficult, but possible with a little time. Try playing Twisted Metal 3 after seeing black and you'll want to claw your eyes out, but eventually you start to ignore the graphics as you settle into the game itself. Same goes for Final Fantasy 8, which I played after Final Fantasy X, which I played after Kingdom Hearts, and that was like two years ago as I was watching FF 13 release
It's kinda hard to describe how the process works, but graphics are entirely relative to the immersion of the game as a whole. If you play through half the game and notice how shitty the graphics are, that's a fault in the game, not in the graphics.

Get a load of this poor person trying to get free games.
So, you are saying graphics > gameplay? Because if that is what you wanted to say I can't believe it.
No, but graphics can really affect how I feel about a game. Like, Bioshock. It was awesome in gameplay, story, and it looked really good.
I just feel if it looks like shit it can really affect the overrall game.
I've yet to meet a game I cannot run on max settings on this rig.

I want to know your rig now.

Oohh, here's a good place to bring up my super clever analogy.
Let's say you're playing a First person game. It's super fucking realistic, and every bit of the game looks so real, you could almost touch it.
But the whole basis of the game is that you're a fat hairy 30-year-old who has to take a shit; and you spend most of the game taking said shit.
Clever, amirite?
