Get it signed and sell it for a million refined metal. DOSH!
That reminds me, do you think you could sign my one? if so, how much would it cost me?

i dont know how to feel about this
Whenever I watch "Meet the Sandvich", I remember the first days of me playing Team Fortress 2.
It was just amazing, when I found my first sandvich as a drop in a saigns.de server I just kept running with it around the maps, nomming it.
My first days of TF2 were amazing, it's a shame they'll never return. :<

Yeah well, sounds like a plan. But I guess that guy who made it is some low-life who sits in front of his PC all day, keeps to himself and ingores all friend invites on Steam. So even if I find him... :v:

demon charges 50 refined per signing, you might be lucky and he'll do it for 49!

I'll do it for you for free, you just have to get your hands on some gift wrap. Which will be impossible because people ask for an arm and a leg in exchange for one. I still have one sitting in my backpack waiting to be gifted to one of my friends because Gift Wrap is so expensive in refined I might as well wait until the money from Valve comes in and just buy it from the store.

I actually haven't been on Steam for the past couple of days, if you added me I'll sign on and accept it. :v:

I don't think I would ever charge anyone to actually sign something, that seems like a shitty thing to do. If you're from Facepunch/Polycount I'd definitely sign it for anyone free of charge. Anyone else though and I'd have to consider it, I don't want what happened to Helljumper to happen to me.
I was just a little bit excited because of it's value. I already own one hat that's worth 2 earbuds but i'm not selling due to sentimental value. Didn't think it was a big deal for this one, so I got excited.
I haven't. And most likely won't, since I don't have Gift Wrap.
Also, the problem I see with signing is that people most likely wouldn't see an item as being signed by the author, rather being a gift from a friend. Aka. I have the feeling most people wouldn't know who the author of an item is.

My first days and weeks of team fortress 2 were me playing engineer and trying to defend my intel on 2fort with all my might. I spend hours camping in the intel room on 24/7 servers. Now i hate 2fort.

It's not for randoms in a server, it's for collectors and such to gaze upon and salivate over the thought of having something that has the creator's name on it.

Its such a shitty thing to do to get one of the makers of the item to sign it and then turn around and try to make a profit on it.

Hopefully I can soon embark on the pain in the ass journey to get wrap, I would love to have it signed by you.

Tell me about it, I felt horrible when it happened to Helljumper, since we talk pretty often. I just couldn't believe the guy went around and sold it for a black Bill's hat.

What hapened there exactly?
LOL
Welcome to Facepunch, I'm sure you'll just fit in :)
I really don't get why someone should pay for an item signed by some guy barely anybody knows. Even if he made the item. Only a signature from a valve employee would matter to me.

Ask those people who pay more for Vintages, Genuines, Stranges and such.
Besides, most contributors don't ask for payment to sign an item, at least I never would. Most of the time we do it for friends or just generally nice people.
What hapened there exactly?
He signed a Carouser's Capotain for someone, I can't remember if it was someone he knew or someone that just asked him, and they went and traded it for a Bill's Hat.

Reminds me of that one time when katastrophe posted "that cat", because this thread right here bored him v:v:v
