I won't say I've been close with Mecha, but I've definitely kept in touch with him since the early TF2ware days, and I would say I've considered him somewhat of a friend, and without a doubt at least a very nice guy. Hell, I came to him out of nowhere just last month and said "Hey, Mecha, I'm planning this [I]fucking enormous[/I] Saxxy entry that requires a [I]shitload[/I] of coding and intense stuff. Would you mind doing the coding?" And he said "Sure!" and proceeded to coordinate with me as to what was possible and what wasn't. Just out of nowhere, and he was totally ok with it. He was even nice about it, and agreed that he was excited to work with me. He just has [B]always[/B] been, to me, a shining example of definite niceness while [I]also[/I] being fantastic at his work. Hell, when months ago I asked Max if he wanted to collaborate on a Saxxy entry for this year, he simply said he wished I wasn't such an "ideas guy," which quite frankly insulted me. I'm not saying Max is a bad guy. Is he stubborn and hardheaded? Oh, I'd say so. But he's often a well-meaning dude with a lot of talent, and he's proven before to also be willing to just pick up a project out of nowhere just because I asked him nicely. They're both very talented people. Which is [I]why[/I] this is making me so upset. When this first popped up I was having trouble siding with Max because I've always seen Mecha as the nicer of the two, in addition to the fact that he will likely be my most valuable contributor when the Saxxies roll around, and I feel I should defend him. Hell, I posted that he totally had my support through this on his wall. But as this goes on and on, I see Mecha digging himself deeper and deeper and looking worse and worse, and the looming presence of the fact that Mecha now has a tsunami of loathing against him, I just get disheartened. I've just always seen him as a great guy, and seeing himself doing things like this just [I]hurts[/I] to watch. Especially since now the community's against him and even his [I]servers,[/I] which are what I've played on almost every day for months upon months. I still want to be his friend, and I'm still willing to believe he's a good guy under all this scandal, but still... it's like my idol having clay feet, a bit. If Mecha's reading this, dude, I still love you and your work, but this was bad, and you need to stop before things get worse. Please.

So apparently, I met a fail troll on a server today whom I have no affiliation with, who has an unbearable grudge against me specifically, and Facepunch. He was permabanned 6 times. Did nothing but badmouth me and Facepunch, and make fun of people who go on it by questioning their age, pubescence, and mental capacity. Hilariously enough, he was making fun of himself. I kinda feel sorry for him. At least, that's what I would say if he weren't so unjust and rude.

You should try to get (Or beat) an explanation out of Mecha. I know you're not picking sides, but it'd be cool if you can get him to feel guilty and apologize for his arrogance.
