I don't understand this. I personally think it's the best Engineer hat. It's a nice add-on to Engineer's default construction helmet (which I think he looks odd without).
And yet people still like the Soldier's Stash, and the Trophy Belt has increased in popularity a little ever since it became paintable.

I don't mind it, but I think Texas Ten is still the best engie hat, with the hotrod having a cool/unique effect.
