[Problem]

Alright, I got a bit of a moral dilemma here, and I need some good advice.

Anyway, so it's Halloween, and I'm going crazy about trying to get one of the new unusuals. I really want a flamenco, so I offer this guy my Vivid Plasma Noble Amassment for a Cauldron Bubbles Flamenco or Orbiting Lantern Flamenco.

He gives me the Cauldron Bubbles Flamenco, and I'm elated. Now, of course, I realize that maybe it wasn't the best trade, but it was pretty nice. I ask around for the price, and some people say 4-5 earbuds.

By some kind of dumb luck, it's the only one of it's kind (I'm 99% sure, I've never ever seen another anywhere), and I happen to have it. So I keep it for a while, quite proud of it.

So the other day, some dude named [sp]{9 Lives}Symezy[/sp] sends me a friend request and wants to trade me for my hat. I say no, of course, because it's the only one of it's kind. He offers 1 of 2 unusuals for it, and I can choose (but they're both pretty bad, can't remember off the top of my head by I know they were bad).

Well, so fast forward to last night. This guy has constantly asked me to trade him my unusual for increasingly better and better unusuals, stuff with effects like stormy storm, etc. And I continually say no. But last night, I saw that he had a Cloudy Moon Hottie's Hoodie. Impressed that he's traded up to a better hat than me, I put up my hat as an offer on his TF2TP page and say "Not an offer, just saying congrats on the nice hat!"

I come back this morning, just to see what he said. He's rejected the hat, but then under my message writes "Interested?"

So here's the question: My hat is the only one of it's kind, and it's pretty damn awesome. I love my hat. But on the other hand, there's a chance here that I could trade it for a Cloudy Moon Hottie's Hoodie, whether it's because he knows the value and doesn't care, because he wants more from me than my Flamenco (maybe 2 buds worth of items, still not enough to stack up to his Hoodie), because he's a scammer, or because he doesn't know the value. Regardless, should I trade a hat I like a lot for profit, or no?

I could get hats for other classes I like as well as a new pyro hat, with all the earbuds I could get from trading off the Hoodie, and potentially buy another Cauldron Bubbles Flamenco when the holiday comes around again and another is inevitably unboxed. But should I?

And in any case, is this too good to be true and he's gonna scam me? I'd never met him or put my hat up for trade before he sent me his request, which seems suspicious.
