I've been idling for ~10 every single day since the "reset", and only got 6 items the day of the reset. Nothing else. Fuck you Valve.
Yeah i had like 5 on Friday? and none since playing loads sucks how am i going to get hotrod now :(
Christ.
You people find this stuff out in such a detailed manner, Valve would be better off just telling everybody exactly how it works.
The drop time resets tomorrow right? I want my homewrecker back.
why?
I'd rather have krit a cola or my bonk back.
I haven't got anything for 3 days, with a total of about 7 hours playtime over that.
I don't understand the rules of the new system. People have got 3 drops in every half hour on a regular basis.

I know, right? Then the wiki would be perfect. Damn Valve and their making us do research.
If Valve gave us the community weapons, I could care less about the drop rates.
As it stands, I'm unlikely to get a can of Crit-A-cola with the number of drops I get a week averaging 3.
I still like the old drop system more. Back then you could idle for a week and get shitload of items and probably 1-2 hats.
Now you recieve 11 items max per week.

The main problem is that idlers would get way more items than your regular, average player, and that regular players would struggle finding items. This new system was put in place as to make the playing level even as to who got drops.
I only wish there was a daily cap of maybe three to six items as opposed to a weekly cap of ten~ items. It would satisfy every group of people from casuals to idlers and give them equally more items, while keeping it at the same time, balanced.
On that note, I am rather disappointed at having only played TF2 for about five hours this week and hitting my item cap. While I still play TF2 regularly, there's going to be nothing to surprise me each time I die. That pop-up screen is always enjoyable to see, since there's nothing more addictive than gambling itself.

I agree completely. Needs to be a 5-7 items a day cap not this weekly cap bullshit. I like the fact that valve is trying to move away from idling but in the process they are punishing us who play more.
Wasn't the cap supposed to reset today?
I haven't got a single drop.

No, it's Thursday
Oh, shit.
I haven't found anything in two days and I haven't come close to the supposed 22 item cap.
:saddowns:

22? Lol, if only.
Were the Pain Trains fixed so that they craft with other Soldier items last Thursday or was it before then? I was suprised when I tried it last week and it worked.
No, it's Thursday
You 100% sure it doesn't reset today?
You 100% sure it doesn't reset today?
It's Thursday, as stated above.
If this weeks figures look like last, I'll update the post one more time to reflect the "final" figures with more speculation on the carryover.
Still hoping deep down that last week was a fluke :(
So it resets today?
Or has it reset already?
(UTC +02 here.)

Already reset.
Alrighty, thanks.
i havent found anything since last thursday, and before then i got only 5 items
I found another Homewrecker last night, but nothing since then. Of course, my computer fried itself and I didn't play for about five days, but still.
I had Source Tools running at 6pm PST yesterday all the way to now.
The first drop occurred exactly at 00:00h Thursday.
That's 00:00h at Valve's HQ.
So, it really looks like it's exactly Thursday.
Been idling for about 1 hour 40 minutes now.
No drops.
:/
Dunno if I should idle now.. What if the Engy update comes out within a week, and I hit my drop cap. Man, so many new things to worry about!

You'll likely be able to get them with achievements like all the other updates.

Yeah that's true. But what if they add more community hats? :X
edit: HAAAAAATS
