Probably because of the update. Steam made TF2 crash and it couldn't be relaunched because "servers are busy".
Since the drop rate reset for everyone on Thursday, I have doubts about the daily cap we first reported last week.
[b]Remember how on Wednesday, everyone hit a cap already, and then it started again on Thursday?[/b] This might have been because the Wednesday after the update was the last day of their "weekly" system. So the weekly cap may be a lot smaller than we originally thought :(

Odd. I cleaned my list of dropped items in SteamItemManager, and a few minutes after that an ambassador shows up, but it doesn't show up in the "found items" list.

Yep mine reset today as well. I guess I'll be idling on Thursdays and Fridays only.
My Sourcetools are kinda fucked up.
The SteamItemManage endlessly Auto-Updates, launches, Auto-Updates, launches and just keeps doing that. I know I can type SIM stop to make it stop, but now I can't manage item in game.

It's SIM crashing over and over, probably because Steam Cloud was down for a bit. I use TF2 Item Manager instead of SIM because of the recent instability with the steam cloud network, but I had SIM running on the side anyway and it crashed during the day.
Now it's working again.
I hope the steam cloud downtime explains why my drops stopped 5 hours ago....
If I idle, I get tons of items. If I play, I get nothing. Great drop system Valve.
Know how I can switch it for the time being?

One of my worries about the new system is this:
If you're connected to a server that's not connected to steam cloud...
Or you're just running TF2, but not connected to anything...
Does it cost hours from your weekly allocation while giving you no drops?
I doubt it, but Valve tends to not think much ahead.

It's in the Item Tracker add-on options. There's a setting for choosing the item tracker application. Value 1 = SIM, Value 2 = TIM
