* Fixed the Sandvich cooldown not occurring when the Heavy is hurt.
Dammit, not again.
The only reason to use the Sydney Sleeper is to get the no headshot bonus. If it wasn't for that, there would be no reason WHATSOEVER to use it.
I've only used the Black Box and Shortstop, so I can't have an opinion on it.
* Fixed an issue that caused some old demos to crash. * Fixed the Heavy's hands being invisible. * Gifted items are now craftable and tradable.
Awesome. Valve actually made an update with some good f-
* Soldiers no longer maintain their rage level when changing loadout. * The Battalion's Backup no longer gives rage for falling damage. * The Sydney Sleeper no longer penetrates targets. * The Sydney Sleeper no longer randomly crits.
Fuck me.
I like the Sydney Sleeper because it removes the pressure of "lrn 2 headshot u bodyshot faggot". [editline]9:43PM[/editline]
Or you could actually get good at the Sniper Rifle and actually kill things at mid range like this by quickscoping: http://www.pldx.com/movie/6/Auto-aim/
You're kidding right? No one is going to get that good at sniper. That's not even the standard for good. That's the standard for making admins rageban you.
Or you could actually get good at the Sniper Rifle and actually kill things at mid range like this by quickscoping: http://www.pldx.com/movie/6/Auto-aim/
This is more like broken hitboxes than autoaim.
REMOVING NAME TAG OR PAINT FROM AN ITEM DOES NOT GIVE BACK PAINT OR NAME TAG a

Guys: :siren:YOU DON'T GET PAINT/NAMETAG BACK IF YOU RESTORE:siren:
You're retarded if you think this wasn't intentional. If you got the paint or name tag back, why would you ever bother buying more than one? It would devalue them.
This is more like broken hitboxes than autoaim.
lol it's not broken hitboxes at all, he recorded the movie from several matches using demos, demos do not have lag compensation by default (you can fake lag comp with a convar but you need to know what your ping was during the specific point and time of the shot to make it look right) so lots of stuff looks screwed up. Record yourself playing Sniper (if you're good at it) on a server above ~30 or so ping and you'll see really dumb shit like that all the time when you rewatch the demos. If the game didn't have lag compensation by default, you'd have to do some really weird aiming to get headshots. To him (when he was actually playing), those were all actual headshots hitting the head of the model, but w/o latency or lag comp factored in, it looks weird.
Excuse me, what?

I just got a single-use dueling drop by opening the store. What.
Excuse me, what?

:techno:
tl;dr Lack of lag compensation in recorded source demos makes it look like the hit boxes are fucked up.
Community, Self-Made, and Valve items are not tradable or usable in crafting. Goddamnit Valve. I was having a fun time trading mine with my friend, I guess I'm stuck with a wrench now.
Aww, man, the changes to the Sydney Sleeper and the Battalion's Backup were unnecessary in my opinion. I liked having something to do as Soldier during setup time and I thought random crits were the compensation for not being able to headshot. After all, even if the target covered in Jarate is killed by your team members, you just get a half point for the assist (if you think about the scoreboard) and the only way to make sure they die is when you take the time to charge and shoot at your target a second time, which takes a while (if you don't look at the scoreboard). I like the other changes tho. Let's see if Valve will return some of the "good bugs" to us. They let the Spycrab live after all.
The Spy Crab was a cosmetic bug, it did not affect gameplay beyond making friendlies and enemies burst into laughter at the ridiculous pose.
Finally they fixed heavy's hands.
* Fixed the Sandvich cooldown not occurring when the Heavy is hurt.
Fuck you valve, THE SANDVICH WAS FINE.
Fuck you valve, THE SANDVICH WAS FINE.
I don't actually understand what that means, does the sandvich start cooling down when Heavy gets hurt even if he doesn't use the Sandvich or what? Could someone explain this to me? :saddowns:
If you are hurt and eat the sandvich, you get a cooldown, For example, you are on fire, you eat your sandvich, the sandvich dissapears and you end up with about 270 hp. Another example, you just finished killing an enemy, you have 230 hp left, you eat your sandvich, when you finish eating it you end up with 300 hp, but the sandvich gets a cooldown and you cannot use it again until 25-30 seconds have passed
I just got a single-use dueling drop by opening the store. What.
Opening the Store is the same as dieing. You get the items you already found but not yet placed in your backpack.

I considered it for a bit, but I guess now it's a good thing I didn't ultimately do it.
Only fail snipers use sydney sleeper because they cant headshot with the normal rifle, so they just use the shitty replacment.
Only fail snipers use sydney sleeper because they cant headshot with the normal rifle, so they just use the shitty replacment.
The reason I, and a lot of other peoples in here, used it was because it could penetrate through players. You could quiet easily get 2 kills in one shot.
Only fail snipers use sydney sleeper because they cant headshot with the normal rifle, so they just use the shitty replacment.
Someone got bodyshoted way too much today...

Having the cooldown set in when the Heavy uses it to replenish health makes it more balanced, AND doesn't prevent us from having sandwich picnics.
