You could always try it, see if it works, uninstall and then finally change your password.
I'm also curious to know if someone gets this working so that they can be crafted.

How can any crafting ever been done when this runs independent of the Steam cloud?
Good point.
Of course this can work, but only on nonsteam versions, because they don't connect to steam cloud to check it, but it's pointless for legit users.
