Would anyone play an Australian one? I thought about this yesterday and I think it would be a good thing to do if I could get some Facepunch players. But most of these servers fail due to inactivity.

I say wait and see if this server gets popular first. We don't know how much of the TF2 community at large supports these ideas.
I completely support this, as Vanilla Fortress 2 is fun. Just don't add rtd or anything. rtv is perfectly fine, but no shitty plugins, please.

Yeah, rtv is a good plugin that doesn't effect gameplay and makes it so that if enough players hate the map, they can vote to change the map rather than just leave the server.
Rtd is only fun in idling servers though.
It's not even fun in unsrs servers, as it just means people are going to become overpowered as shit and then go around killing everyone trying to have a good time.

There's already several servers like this, reportedly there's one in Pittsburg that has 0 people playing.
Good to see a french vanilla server (I live in Spain, right next to it), and good to see there's no arena mode, but sadly I don't like very much this kind of gaming: For example, I enjoy using the flare gun when playing Pyro to attack far-away enemies and the Homewrecker to help out friendly engineers; and when playing Sniper, I never use the Kukri. I don't see unlockables as a bad, game-breaking thing, but well, that's your point of view. Maybe I'll try sometime playing as Medic (I'm used to play with the default weapons).
I'm sure many people will enjoy this server, it's nice to take a break from all these new weapons and items, it gets a little overwhelming.
You can still get drops though, correct?

It's not really about how [i]game-breaking[/i] unlockables are. Playing on that server doesn't mean you find the whole updated game boring and all, it's just a nice server to play on from time to time, it changes from the actual game and I have to admit that, even though I love all those updates, I'm a bit nostalgic about 07 TF2. It's two different games to be honest, why not having the two in one just with these kind of servers?

I Found the plugin on alliedmods, but I had to edit it a bit, because some weapons were not blocked.

How can I not? Believe it or not, but Valve hasn't actually kept the hard balance the game had when it came out.
Medics had a tiny fraction of a combat capability, snipers had zero anti-spy-only weapons, there was no damage over time except for fire, and the only arc'd projectiles came from Demoman.
