My gold medal just got replaced with beta medal. I guess just pre-ordering it gets you that medal, cause i never touched the beta.

I don't think so. I joined the beta the first possible moment I could (a week after I bought it) which is what the medal has down for me. If it was by purchase date, I'd be a week earlier.

That must be it. Just got mine and didn't touch TF2 till weeks after buying (but it shows my date as Oct 4, 2007). Also the blog says its just by purchase date:

Thanks to the update, my silver medal got changed to the gold one. :smug:
Sentry that can be steered by the engineer himself, but the con would be sometimes that you would have to go out to repair and give it ammo. This way the sentry can now be smarter (Can only attack when engie is using it) but giving a con like ubered people can take it down very easily.
