And why aren't you guys using this sexy promo?
Read the thread, Neo and Badgerpig both said it'll be used in the next Emporium. [editline]ff[/editline] fffffffff
Do something Keep working Don't procrastinate Make friends and help each other out. Don't get stuck in the 'gap'.
What exactly is the 'gap'?
What exactly is the 'gap'?
The gap is where you keep getting frustrated or irritated by your own work as it's not up to the level of quality as you want it to be. So you do work and then you end up not happy with it and scrapping it, repeat process and you end up doing nothing. Make mistakes and learn from it don't nitpick during the process of creating work. this video sums it up nicely and motivates me when I'm down.
His wrist in that pose bothers me so much
Marketing poses ftw
You mean Dr.Who's sonic screwdriver? I'm sure someone here is as excited as me to think about making it, plus have the time to make it, which I haven't. Sorry :| But if I say I don't have the time, it's for a good reason

How do i make this more interesting? Supposed to telescope-y for custom animations and shit. Still missing the crank thing.
Put the meters on a more noticeable spot on the launcher from player view (assuming you're animating those too).
Someones made a sonic screwdriver for the wrench
Someones made a sonic screwdriver for the wrench
I was just looking at this, but it's not what I was looking for ;) Wrong Screwdriver and Wrong weapon replacement~
I guess I'm in that gap right now
Join the club! :suicide:
Join the club! :suicide:
Perhaps why I haven't released anything lately as well as why I am sick of adding scales on my dragon... Edit: I just remembered a quote from my calc professor: "There is nothing more frustrating than trying to make something work that you know will not work." If it just won't work, scrap it and move on. [sp](I need to start taking this to heart too)[/sp]
You mean Dr.Who's sonic screwdriver? I'm sure someone here is as excited as me to think about making it, plus have the time to make it, which I haven't. Sorry :| But if I say I don't have the time, it's for a good reason: I'll tweak the AO a bit and add a smooth phong before releasing it. Oh yeah btw, it's the Iron Branch from Dota 2. It has a jigglebone, and it's my first time making two weapon models in one day!
You should probably texture it before you release it.
Mod will be released later
look into my eyes
Also, is it possible to create your model without loading up the heavy/scout/whatever first, and importing it into that? [editline]2nd February 2012[/editline]
look into my eyes
Goddamn I offered constructor twice to animate the glasses and to redo the textures. the fuck.
New emporium already? Damn. Why monthly?
look into my eyes
song name please.
You should probably texture it before you release it.
This....is the texture....if you don't like my GIMP skills any help would be welcomed.
Does anyone want to texture a pack of mine? It's Aztec themed, for the demoman. My texturer I had bailed on me, and Blahzholten never wants to do mine.
How do i make this more interesting? Supposed to telescope-y for custom animations and shit. Still missing the crank thing.
The telescoping pipe draws my association towards... ... ..Marine navigation! Roll with that theme. I'm not saying you should make it a complete theme park piracy style item, but flirt with that aesthetic in a subtle, hipstery way. Add brass details to the metal parts and make the wood polished, possibly with some neat normal map carvings. Furthermore, if you're going to make the handle in the flowy-grip friendly shape that it looks like you will, add similar shapes to other parts of the gun for the sake of balance. An ornate, curvy ironsight, for example. Also also furthermore also, I really think you should add a second grip. Even if it's not visible in first person view, I think it would bug most mod-users to see enemy Demomen gripping the air. It will also drastically improve the odds of actually getting the item into the game.

You should've seen when it was being put together... Now, may I request a Sonic Screwdriver Spy Knife replacement?
Not to look a gift horse in the mouth...but I'm pretty sure I said Spy Knife Replacement, and then showed a picture of the exact Screwdriver... Bah, it'll do for now I guess...
Remember how I suggested a Egypt Update? Maybe a museum update instead, with the update being like NotLU, with a section of the museum opening each day, with Egyptian stuff being in one section
Not to look a gift horse in the mouth...but I'm pretty sure I said Spy Knife Replacement, and then showed a picture of the exact Screwdriver... Bah, it'll do for now I guess...
What sense does that make though. It's not used to kill people.
What sense does that make though. It's not used to kill people.
he probably wants it because Dr. Whoa
he probably wants it because Dr. Whoa
Well, yeah. A Sonic Screwdriver with the Dr. Whoa and the Familiar Fez sound pretty awesome!
