lol. One comment i dont add ":)" and people say i'm offended. It'll take more than that to put me down kid. Also, i never took your words as criticism in ANY sense of the word, why should i be offended?
also, i trust my texturer, if he says its a gimmick not worth exploring, then i'll go with that.
lol, out of all the things you have made why wouldn't anyone take it as a joke, its one bad hat, we've all made (especially me) bad items at one point or another, i've seen many people make the "ill quit modding" joke and yet yours is the only one that ive seen anyone take seriously, i just couldn't help but laugh at this

Hey guys remember that spycrab claw that I was modeling a while ago?
Yeah. Finally got around to uving it

My suggestions: Shorter trunk with less stretched segment-things. Less or no rounding on the up- and downside of the filter-thing.

I would go with the one that doesn't have issues with the deus specs and sore eyes.

toying with some simple little patterns
anything here that could work. if built upon?

Alright, how's this? What's wrong with it, or is it ready to attempt a UV

Much better.
Perhaps less flowers, though?

Looks perfect, completely spot on. Don't change anything.
How come, when all you do is flip a model, not modifying ANYTHING but it's position, it doesn't show in-game?

The Ludmila Belt won't render in-game, same filename (s_v_ludmila.mdl).... But just doesn't show. What the fuck.

A flower pattern would be nice, but those flowers look way too modern. I think an elaborate rose pattern would look best.

Is it supposed to look like a little separate thing attached on top of the default mask?

Yeah. I was wondering if that wasalright, as it makes it give a different look to say, the Foster's Facade, or the other pretty-much-the-same Pyro masks. I could add something so it looks like it's held on by like a strap or something.

The Minigun and Natascha use a separate model for first person that's really fucked up. They wanted to show more of the guns on the screen, and so you have some monstrous clusterfuck of features shoved forward. It's why I use the Iron Curtain. Not sure if that has anything to do with anything.

I know, I use the IC too, but I love the sound for natascha and the belt is neat. The v_minigun_heavy.mdl has c_v_ludmila.mdl (the belt) attached when using natascha. All I did was flip the belt model and for some reason it just wont appear in-game. I had some trouble re-compiling though, something to do with the bones. Could this be the issue? Anyone care to lend a hand? :s
The only issue with complicated details is that they become very visually busy from a distance
i gave filling in the gap a go too

The images i'm showing here are just proof of concept. none of the texturing is what it's going to look like. it'll be quite different in terms of attention/quality

Are you, like, asking for my permission? You're the modeller, do whatever the hell you want.
If you want my opinion, though, I think one of those baggy, creepy, WW1-style canvas masks would look awesome.

How about a pattern of stylized blotches that resembles a classical rose pattern in color and shape?
My bones are set up like this:
