Anyone with 3ds Max (2010) know how to fix this? The texture shouldn't be all tiled-like on the material slot sphere thing, and the texture shows up completely black on the model, or sometimes just distorted to the point where it just shows one color from the texture
I know lighting isn't the issue since I don't have any direct lights setup

I dunno what's up... are you sure you put it in the "diffuse" spot? Did you save the texture file the right way?

Mhmm, it's in the diffuse box, and it's saved and opened up as a .vtf file like I've always been doing (which had worked before all fine and dandy)

dunno if this helps but to get the materials in the 3d view you have to tick one of the "with maps" options

Technically speaking, nearly all superheroes and supervillians have "the" in front of their names. The Superman, The Batman, The Amazing Spiderman, etc. Most people simply never used their full, proper names because they sound awkward in conversation, as you said. But, their official names do include the article.

pretty sure the way that the goggles are made means they can be worn correctly with the eye miscs

I wouldn't consider it gimmicky, I was more suggesting it from a popularity stand point.
I'm betting it would get a few extra votes and, should it get ingame, a few extra purchases should it have compatibility with the specs/eyes.
But if he doesn't want to, I don't blame him for not wanting to do something trivial like that, I was just wondering if he considered it.
