Should I finish this?

It was just something I made for fun, with the model done in under an hour, and the texture (well, as-is, and it is obviously unfinished) in another. I set out with the concept looking awesome in my head, but as it fleshed together, I grew to dislike it more and more.
What do you guys think: Finish, or scrap?
EDIT: By the way, this isn't for Steam Workshop or anything. It's something I made for giggles, based on Eric Ruth's awesome TF2 styled arcade game
This isn't half-bad. I think it'd look better if it were moved down his back a but further. I really like the idea, actually.
Maybe make it a Non-TF2 Arcade Game, then it might work

Fuck finish release that shit I want a Donkey Kong arcade version NOW
Would be better as a prop honestly

Damn, this I was not expecting! If you guys like it, then I'll finish it!
Blitz, the original idea was to make a stock model, and take reccomendations from everyone on specific games on it. For example, the model is actually based on an arcade cabinet I actually own, which was a Street Fighter 1 arcade cab. But then I got bored of the idea and decided to try and make it a Team Fortress Arcade machine. Maybe it's not the model I hate, just the paintjob..
And PYC128, since you guys made me feel better about this, I'll make a Donkey Kong version
Which lightwarp should I use? The top one is the regular weapon shader and the bottom is the one that the Ambassador uses.
Agree for top, and disagree for bottom I suppose

Really good for something made in 2 hours; if you hammered out some of the bad bits (texture for one thing) you might have a really good item.
The Pyro's airtank seems kind of like a weird place to put an arcade machine though; maybe make the bottom jagged and broken-looking and make it a hat for someone?
Or work off the same idea and remake it as a Medic backpack or something.
Does anyone want to re-texture my flintlock rifle? I'm not great with textures and want it done better than I can do.
Don't worry I'm more than willing to delete the workshop submission and re-upload once finished.
How could it have been unwrapped better? I don't have much experience unwrapping, so criticism of this could indirectly help me.
The main thing is that both sides are identical so both sides should be overlapped onto the same area. This would give you more space so you could make it bigger on the uv and lead to more detail on the texture.

*fistpump*
Wait, mod right? So I can actually use it and go around being Pyro Kong or something and be like BARRELSTHROWINGTIME and pchoo-pchoo! and pow! and shit?
Oh man I love arcade games.

Everything you said that wasn't this was incorrect.

I think the teamcolored swirl could maybe have a slowly pulsating glow for extra effect.
Bottom one, definitely. The shadow on the top one is very blobby (especially on the handle), while the bottom has a nice and smooth.
So guys, im going to start to make mods :D. And what item you think is more easier to mod? Shades, hats, badges, weapons? I have a idea for a shades. If possible , i will try to put every single step of my work to you guys help me :D yay!

Not bad, but I think it needs some more cartoony proportions, and the picture on the side is too busy. I would suggest having only 2 joysticks, with skinny middle portions and the top of them (the parts you have red) being much bigger and rounder. I would suggest maybe 2 buttons each, each very large. I know this may not be proportionate to anything the tf2 arcade game may have, but it would honestly fit a little bit better.
as for different side art, I would suggest having some more drawn-on art - if you can, draw a very silly paintbrush-style spy, and have the face crossed out and have "little baby man" or something to that effect scrawled in crayon below.
Very cool model nonetheless! I still have to get cracking at building my own arcade machine someday.
Working on my Vic Rattlehead skin. I am pretty scared about unwrapping this guy. Also the visors are gonna take a while.

How many polys are the links in the chain? Because they look too high.
should be about 2 faces on each side for such a small detail.

I was thinking the same thing, and it also makes the engraving not as grainy (can't tell in that view but yeah), but people seem to like the traditional shader arghh
How many polys are the links in the chain? Because they look too high.
Probably way to many polys. I'm gonna work on optimizing it before moving to the visor. How many pollys should it be around?
Fuck finish release that shit I want a Donkey Kong arcade version NOW
Okay I know the texture is still shit. This took forever, so I'm taking a break, so here are the base colors.

Interestingly enough, there are both red and blue versions of Donkey Kong cabinets, so I'll use both variants! I know the color of the original cabinets are a bit bright, but fuck it
Also it took way too long to find a good quality version of the original art and decals and stuff
should be about 2 faces on each side for such a small detail.
They're big enough to have some depth.
Something like this would be good I think. With a triangular cross section.

You know what would go well with this? A melee weapon of the bludgeoning variety :v:

I think you should totally work on it some more. It's a silly idea but I like it. Some points of criticism:
1) Have it only 2 player, controls are reeeeeealy crammed in there and make the joystick heads spherical. I think the game itself is 4 player, but in this instance creative liberties may have to be taken.
2) Screen should be rounded, at least in the corners, and probably inset a little.
3) I know it's not done, but needs texture work, have it roughed up a bit like it's been in a pizza parlor for ages perhaps?
4) I think it would be really cool if the screen and top marquee glowed, a lightmap right?
Keep on trucking dude. Dumb (but fun) projects equal practice and more practice never hurt anyone.

And the brightness can be easily photoshopped darker, can't it?

Who knows, some good might come out of it.

Anyone know how to add the Genteel Pipe effect to things? Because I know Valve doesn't do it. I'll look at the Muttonchop's QC and see if I can figure it out

Almost did it without any of Hawf's help.
