I know that the decapitation is done by spawning a head gib and converging all of the vertexes of the head into one to give the appearance of headless-ness, but how is that going to work with the head and chest parts of this item connected?

TF2 doesn't exactly match real life, but every difference is there[I] for a reason.[/I] You repair buildings by hitting them because it's convenient for gameplay. Glass is unbreakable because it would screw up level design if it wasn't. You can kill someone by shouting 'Pow' because it's fun.
This messed-up keyboard doesn't serve any purpose, and every single person who knows a little about music will be annoyed when they see it. It's a giant neon sign that says 'I didn't bother googling "piano keyboard" when I made this'.
The coloring's nice now, though.

If you want to go an extra mile to create an alternate model that shows it severed at the cord to be attached to the chest and a separate head gib, that would be neat. I'm pretty sure that gibbing in general will look cleaner too, not just decapitation, now that I think about.
I know that they don't seem to have a problem with contributors giving them gibs because they gave a greenlight to the guys who were making the Frosted Facade. Regardless that it didn't get in-game, they were okay with it.

So I decided to go back and refine some paint can ideas I had from a long time ago, whatchu all think?
I love Decaying Isotope.
And P.S. only SVDL could turn a concept that I absolutely hate into a model that I would use in-game.
Brass and Beacon look good. Orange is a pretty ugly color, but I imagine it could fit pretty well into the game. Hue looks very similar to An air of Debonair. Explosive and Isotope look good.
I think TF2 needs a brown paint that is darker than Radigan Conagher Brown. Like, the brown equivalent of Balaclavas.
