So I'm working on my shark head.
Decided on no teeth and no gills.
Makes it too cluttered and I am bad at teeth.
But my bake is screwing with me.

Try setting your margins to 32.

You only need your margins at 1 any more is just a joke
Margin size is dependant on texture resolution. I normally double it, so
512 - 2
1024 - 4
2048 - 8
etc
Otherwise I get nasty seams

Can somebody tell me how to make the character models animate in the model viewer? I can only get them to pose in the first frame of an animation but I've seen lots of videos here of the characters running and such.
Well you shouldn't. Make them a bit looser and you'll get less noticable seams. The unnoticable slightly higher texel density you're getting isn't worth the noticable seams.

Don't use real ones.
Gets paint all over your monitor, and then it doesn't even carry over to the model.

But the only problem i have is some of the stuff is WAY too high.
Like the ammo, health, ETC.

Use the Photoshop Calligraphic ones, that's what Valve use for the concept arts and for texturing. (I use them too)

Youll have to go into all the res files for the ItemEffect meters, and change the ypos. If you make it r20, itll be 20 units from the bottom of the screen. Youll have to experiment.
You'd also have to modify the health meter, Class image, and potentially some other things.

Funny you say that, I was redrawing the Laser Rifle with TF2's proportions as a Pomson 6000 replacement. I was going to use it to model from in Blender, as it's blocky in design and should be hard for me (even me) to mess up:

But then I forgot.
I need some help, i'm trying to apply an edge split and subsurf modifier onto a mesh, but when a click apply it says I can't apply it to meshes with key shapes. Help would be greatly appreciated. I'm using blender by the way.
