Just made my first hat! It does suck, I know it. But I made it! :)

You should be proud of yourself for going through the terrible process of learning it all. You know the basics, now you can get to quality work.
it also doesn't help Demoman swings the persuader hitting people with the blunt end
You ever been smacked with the broad side of a sword? It does hurt, you know.
Anybody feel like texturing this?

The ao also needs a little work to make it not look so shitty, stupid shading

If only hats could have taunt kills.
I know I have seen that hat somewhere, but where?
Oh, I thought especially you would recognise it, since you have asked for a Calculus hat some time ago.
Here's a hint: The Calculus Affair, page 53. It's not an exact copy, but was a starting point.

Go with alternates.
Always bet on the alternates.

You might be able to get the shotgun animations to work for it
Maybe design it as a primary that uses the Shotgun animations, kind of like the Shortstop

make it use the barrel as the fore end.
like the family business
Since the topic is Heavy kit, have some random inspiration material I stumbled across.
Behold. A Polish Multiple Gun.

Also, two versions of the Nordenfelt Gun.

Also, the TKB-059. A Russian tri-barrel assault rifle that had minigun-like performance.

EDIT: (To view large versions of the images, remove the "l" from the end of each file name. Less spammy this way.)

I dont think there was one.
Sorta reminds me of a minigun from a game i know of, cant think of it though.
Maybe doom or quake?
looks like if you took a generic assault rifle and attached a minigun barrel to the front
So guys, after my hat (visit page 23) I decided to make melee weapon. And maybe redo my hat. But I want to ask, whats different when making weapon?

Adjusted the bridge of the nose, thickened the frames, added a couple more loops to the earpieces more a more unique shape, and added more detail to the hinge texture, as well as the sale tag. Sorry for the low-res .jpegs.

Nothing much, most weapons will use multiple bones though.
What programs do you guys use to make these custom models?
What programs do you guys use to make these custom models?
Depends on personal preference really, Blender and 3ds max seem to be the most common though.

thanks for your support but that don't answer to my question.
I want to know what real machine gun it looks like ?

I think there is not a real machine gun like that. Just look at the body and its barrel, it just makes no real-life sense
Where does the ammo goes? What makes the barrel spin? (because the part the makes the barrel being attached to the body is too smal to have an internal barrel and a spin system)

i'm sure the body looks like an old machine gun, just the body not the barrels

actually IRL miniguns use ammo belts, the drum on Sasha is quite bulky and impractical.

In that case, the body can be similar to the Minimi (I forgot the original name, is an ACTUAL partrooper and marine heavy machine gun)

can you please (or someone else) send me link to tutorial where I can find those information (like which bones are for melee..etc)
I cant find it

A spinning barrel in a machine gun is just stupid. Miniguns have a less elaborate (elaborated = closed, with exhaust hole and ejection slot, trigger and that stuff, and SPECIALLY A BOTTOM STOCK) body.

that's not what I was responding to though
