I think that a painted-on skull pattern would look alright. Maybe with some of the paint dripping down and a crack in one of the eyes.

That shouldn't be a factor in submitting a weapon model. The Spy's melee slot is difficult to create attributes for and we have 4 non-stock options now.
Just because Valve has a tendency to accept lots of melee weapons for demoman doesn't mean that's the only thing they want. You get what you give; submitting more melee weapons isn't how you get a stickylauncher into the game.
Let the man make his bomb launcher, it looks damn good :colbert:

Oh, so you guys were talking about the "Maybe you shouldn't do a sticky launcher" part of Chalky's post. I thought you were talking about the "Valve probably won't add it if it has a sticky launcher" bit, and responded to that.
I want SVDL to keep working on it, even if it's unlikely to get in or whatever.

Valve isn't obligated to add entire sets, they [i]can[/i] cherrypick items, they just haven't exercised that ability to its fullest extent. To my knowledge, so far only the Backwards Ballcap and Infernal Impaler were accepted with their sets being left in the dust. They can do the same for weapons if they so choose.
However, they should at least [i]try[/i] to be interesting with the Demoman's secondary slot, I'm sure a lot of people are tired of meleeman stuff by now. Loch-n-Load was a start, even if they refuse to fix its animations.
