Now you are making up excuses. Go learn!
Eh, I might do it tomorrow. I tend not to do too much past this time. Also, damn you, when I moved my hands down to the keyboard, it pulled my earbuds out. (Don't ask why I'm listening to music on a mp3 player when I have all the files on my PC, I don't know either)
Good golly, that's great. I'm very happy to see you haven't forgotten. So, it'll be team-colored then? Did you base the design on the toy version of Finn's sword by any chance? Especially the bumpmapped wear reminds me heavily of it. [t]http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-DrJM95mv9s4/TkXNMkeYLeI/AAAAAAAAyAg/vvC_zM3vxCU/s1600/AT_14265_Sword.jpg[/t] Also, though it's otherwise fine and dandy, the tip could maybe be a little bit pointier, kinda like on the toy there. And another thing, for a name, how about "Finn's Golden Sword of Battle" like on the label for the toy sword?
yeah that's kind of what I was going for, hence the round tip. I was thinking of naming it the Excalipoor :V
Want me to help? I just learned to work with normal maps.
yes please! I'll PM you.
I posted this in the Major Update Speculation thread, but it probably fits better here... How unreasonably difficult would it be for Valve to make certain miscs have hat attachment points that overrule the attachment point of the class? So like, when wearing the Bubble Pipe, hats would attach to the top of the bubble, not pyro's head. Is this impossible? I'm not entirely sure how hat attachments work, so what I'm suggesting might be silly.

Distance and angle are the factors. To allow with the bubble pipe, they would need to reposition all of the pyro's hats, potentially as separate mdl files.
Any chance of also submitting Crossbow bolts for it? It would help gameplay to be able to know which are just Huntsman arrows and which are just Crossbow bolts sticking into things. :v:
Is there an LOD pack? I remember seeing one...

Now, before you tar and feather me, I realize that this is the TF2 Emporium, but... I'm considering making an Eyelander mod for Skyrim, in the same vein as that Space Core mod that was made by Valve. It'd be found a bit like the Space Core was, with you hearing the Eyelander's trademark "heads heads heads" get louder and louder as you get closer. For an ingame example, see the Nirnroot's glowy-sound. I'd try and figure out a way to make it always decapitate on kills, like the perk you can unlock. Upon, let's say, 15 heads taken in a 24 hour period in game, you'll gain the Eyelander's other trademark feature - the glowing eyeball, which will also have a small buff to your character(haven't decided what yet). Anywho, I'm just posting this here to say my intention to do so, and to see if you guys like the idea of it or not.

This would require every model to get an extra bone though and they'd have to code it.

It's not easy to use, and what you're imagining is definitely not easy to do.
I used to use the Oblivion CS. I've tried to keep my ideas to things I know that's possible in the engine. The 15-heads/kills thing was done on a weapon from Shivering Isles, the "heads heads heads" thing I already used an ingame example of. The only eeeeeeeeeeeh bit I'm worrying about is the glowing eyeball.

And let's say that we have 3 cosmetic slots that works with hats and miscs. Suddenly this thing can be real!

I'm graduating from college in a few months, and I think the community schema would be nice on the resume, but I'm not really sure... how to word it without it seeming dorky.
