Obligatory "hats don't count"
Obligatory "hats don't count"
Well of course he's not married to any hats, he'd need to put his wife on top of his he-- nevermind.
Well Brandon told me that "the TF2 team is very busy" a few days ago when I asked him about a few... other things.
so it can only mean good things to come.

Woah, Psycho.. too soon.

I thought you said he was working on DotA.

I got a similar response when I recently tried striking a conversation with Robin before he started playing Dead Island again.
What are these "other things" that you asked about?
I thought you said he was working on DotA.
uh, Yeah?
That's why he didn't say "We are very..."

I hope my post still makes sense

adding 2 new styles to the Luchador takes a lot of work!
I've been hearing a lot about Raid mode but what is it exactly?
Yes they do. And if you don't know that, it means that you've never been on a private server. And that is a good thing.
They use additional models, announcer sounds and custom particles.
Bad reading bro. Additional models and custom particles are, y'know, custom, and not Valve made.
Announcer sounds... do you mean the TF announcer or quake?
[editline]14th September 2011[/editline]
We don't know what Raid Mode is, but it does involve mobs and squads. And it's a gamemode.
Scarabix: Valve isn't likely to remove those animations. They're completely harmless being in the game, take up a novel amount of room, and will almost certainly be used in the future.
Very rarely do they remove things from the GCF
We have mandatory updates coming tomorrow for TF2, CS:S, DoD:S, and HL2:DM.
The update for CS:S is a major one. Lots of the changes from the CS:S Beta are being shipped.
More details tomorrow.

This was in my mailbox this morning from the hlds mailing list.
As pointed out before, in more recent months/years TF2 has only received major updates on Thursdays. Could we be seeing something being revealed today?
It would all link up, as the blog has been quietly recently and there has been a lack of updates to the game.
It's possible, although it might just be Source Engine maintenance. Then again there's nothing to say they won't end up leaving behind a trail of cookie crumbs (like breadcrumbs only much tastier) pertaining to future developments...
Oh gawd I hope it's dropping hints about Raid Mode...
Twas Ceiling Man...and he visited their office and got a tour, not an email.
Oh right. My memory hasn't been all that good about things like that lately.
So, anyone else think...

Major updates blah blah have been released for stuff
Changes include
Source Engine
- Some console command or something the end user doesn't care about
- Fixed a rendering problem in graphics cards produced before 1998
TF2
- Added styles to the Large Luchador
- Made the Magnificent Mongolion paintable
- Made the El Jefe craftable and tradable
- Added promo content for PC Gamer
- Fixed a rare crash caused by saving a replay to a Sony PSP format on a Thursday while it's raining.

:(
I'd yawn. Loudly.
So, anyone else think...
:(
Needs the other styles that Pie tony confirmed. After all why would they release the styles for one hat when they have a bunch of other styles for other hats that they plan on releasing together.
So, anyone else think...

No update to tf_polish.txt? Boring patch.
So, anyone else think...
:(
They also need to make the RO2 promos able to craft and trade.
So yeah, it will be a full fucking update.
Needs the other styles that Pie tony confirmed. After all why would they release the styles for one hat when they have a bunch of other styles for other hats that they plan on releasing together.
Because it's Valve
So, anyone else think...

Needs Updated Localization Files to be considered a true update.
And no, i personally think there'll be more, like others have said, styles for more hats besides the Luchadore, the RO2/El Jefe hats craftable/tradable/...buyable? as examples.
Would shock me if they added something BIG though. I'd expect them to hold off on something like that for Halloween.

Me confirming is just me knowing that they were in development/submitted.
there are bound to be some who never bothered finishing, plus it's possible valve will not add some.
I liked Larolaro's Softcap style, it'd be good for me because I don't the other Tank Buster gear most of the time, so I don't need the matching colours.

wat.
But assuming you mean like, I understand.
I find that the blackbox could have been made to look a bit more interesting, rather then being exactly what is on the tin.
If only we know the other incoming styles for the Stylish update. :v:
...I don't wear/equip the other...
So, anyone else think...

I hope valve would have better spelling!
- Fixed a rare crash caused by saving a replay to a Sony PSP format on a Thursday while it's raining.
Wow thank god
