They were never played ingame before, how is that any different from recording them from scratch?
Me wants Update, But I'm not expecting anything, C'mon Valve, surprise me (if you're not busy enough with all the DOTA leak thingy of course)
Anything that brings second misc. slot and doesn't break the game (technically) is welcomed by me.
Tonight's the night!
You jinxed it.
Thanks a lot.
According to Dota 2's source, apparently TF2 is suppose to have a L4D engine styled matchmaking system, meaning TF2 would have to be updated to the "new Source" engine before Dota2 is released officially.
/src/matchmaking/matchmaking_cstrike /src/matchmaking/matchmaking_dota /src/matchmaking/matchmaking_episodic /src/matchmaking/matchmaking_portal2 /src/matchmaking/matchmaking_swarm /src/matchmaking/matchmaking_tf
not sure what benefits such an engine change would bring, other than increased graphic quality (sort of) and a matchmaking system.

Hopefully this will be a good chanche to optimize the game a tad bit

The beta seems to run much more smoothly than the regular game. Of course this is based on my memories of playing the beta once, a few months ago, back when nobody had hats in it. So that could just be me being wrong.

Quick play and whatnot.
Spoiler - it already does. Quick play and whatnot.
Yeah, but the TF2 matchmaking system is absolutely poop. Takes way too long to find you a match and when it does work it's more likely to plonk you in to a instaspawn server with quake sounds that was "vanilla enough" to make the matchmaking list.
Spoiler - it already does. Quick play and whatnot.
it's a half ass attempt to bring updated Source features into the Orange Box engine without actually updating the engine. Which is why it's so terrible
I'd love an update that does nothing but add new lines for the classes. Achievements too, now that I think of it. Those two things would put so much new life in to the game.
THERE CAN BE ONLY ONE!
I'd like to see a new game mode. One of my favorite ideas that I heard was similar to Assault from Halo (Never played CS so don't get all buttfrustrated) and anyways, it would be like a hybrid of attack / defend CTF and Payload, but not on tracks.
it's a half ass attempt to bring updated Source features into the Orange Box engine without actually updating the engine. Which is why it's so terrible
You don't need to update the engine to add matchmaking features to a game in any case. By that I mean, you don't need to haul along all the other features, it's a separate module entirely.

Probably another bugfix, but hopefully something epic.
MY BODY IS READY
Guess what? its localization files. Come on, you know its gonna happen!
Probably another bugfix, but hopefully something epic.
Bugfixes aren't usually mandatory updates.
Probably another bugfix, but hopefully something epic.
It's been my observation that unless it's something worth talking about, we don't get notified.
It's been my observation that unless it's something worth talking about, we don't get notified.
then its a promo.
a bugfix for a promo
a bugfix for a promo's Polish localization files
a bugfix for a promo's polish locilzation files, also no random critical hits
If it is a promo my guess it will be for Serious Sam 3:BFE or Nuclear Dawn.
If it is a promo my guess it will be for Serious Sam 3:BFE or Nuclear Dawn.
No, it's obviously the new Black Ops DLC. :suicide:
No, it's obviously the new Black Ops DLC. :suicide:
15 dollars to unlock a cool promo for TF2! AK47U with Holographic Sight and Suppressor, Scavenger Hat, and Skull Face Paint misc. For the Soldier :suicide:
New FTP game on steam, promo could be for that Or could be the most awesomeest update ever
Oh right, I guess it's gonna be something larger, then. I've lingered awake too long; sadly I won't stay up to wait for whatever update comes our way in this American Afternoon, which for me is half-past-11 at night.
