We should speculate on the next beta content. I hope they fix the short circuit, because right now it just takes some serious midichlorian to hit a flying rocket with it. Also, range.
I hope it's a promo for the last of the THQ lot [ spanned across homefront. redfaction] and will probably end with saints row 3
Plus the SR staff have responded to promotional questions, and there's so much shit we could have from it. professor genki glasses. the octopus gun. Johhny gat hair.
2nd misc will be added during mann co 2nd AN.
everything half off on the store.
promos added to the store at a high price for 1 min.

Don't you mean 1st anniversary? It's only been one year. But I doubt that if they did do a MannConomy anniversary update, they'd actually do more than just the one. I still think that a MannConoVersary will be the next major update, though, it makes sense.
Also Valve. Give The classes new lines.
The most recent one was the pyros laugh taunt.
Pyro just needs more lines in general. He's got like a dozen sound effects and all Valve did was mash them together in different order to make all his voice clips.

The hatless update would like a word with you.
The hatless update would like a word with you.
That wasn't just bugfixes, that added voting, better bots, coaching, more training, class-specifc duels and a map. Bugfix updates are only about 3 or 4 lines in the Steam Updates News, usually one of which starts with "Fixed a rare crash..."
Some stuff from the beta that points to a new update
- The old unused attributes "More Afterburn Damage" and "Increased overheal" were reworded to reflect the rewording changes they made a few months ago to attributes
- A custom texture brushstroke overlay is in the GCF
- An expiration date attribute was added
The "big" beta update that added matchmaking and the new loading backgrounds happened only a week from the Uber update.
Next week is the one year anniversary of the Mannconomy update

Increased overheal would make sense seeing as YM's possibly getting a medic pack in.
Possibly? It was in both the STS leak and the F2P trailer. It would be kind of jerky for Valve to just pull it suddenly now.
It stands to question whether they implemented his custom backpack or not though (the F2P didn't show it, but it's been months). I really, really hope they did.
If "The Overhealer" is getting in, I hope they nerf it's heal rate to death.
If I recall correctly, it can overheal you up to 200% of your life, so an heavy would not get killed by an headshot. It also had no ubercharge. That's what I remember about it
Yeah, it's gotta be a MannConomy Anneversary Update.
They've got 3 packs unreleased, and what better time to release them than the anniversary of when packs were first released?
So what, we can expect an update in a week or two?
Also, I wonder what this year's Halloween Special's gonna be? Hope it's another Halloween Map and a new Boss; we've still yet to find Dracula. 2 years ago it was Zephaniah, then last year his brother Silas came along to decap-attack us all, perhaps this year we get bitten by the infamous Mannfred?
We know of 3 packs
- Junkyard Justice
- YM's Medic Pack
- Gardening Pyro
We also know that a Demoman pack that involves explosives is in the works. From the beta, we can also see that there's a new misc slot dedicated to Demoman's grenades. It stands to reason that this pack would also be included, although I haven't seen too many packs that are both explosive based and have custom grenades included.
The Custom Texture badge from the STS leak came back into the light now, as a texture overlay (which adds brushstrokes) was found in the beta GCF.
Several of the changes from the beta are being translated right now on the STS. One of these new additions to the STS was "specialty" which was taken off the STS awhile ago. It was included with the new beta stuff, but has not appeared in the beta.
All references to sockets have been removed in the beta. That idea seems to have been trashed.
Some old unused afterburn related attributes were re-worded to be more like the current attribute style (IE, Damage Bonus/Damage Penalty). The increased Overheal attribute was also edited slightly.
A new "expiration date" attribute was added to the beta.
We know an enhanced Rocket Jumper is also being worked on, and is just waiting for the art team to make a model.
Expiration date? I can't help but be afraid of weapon rentals.
for all we know it could just be adding the "no trade" timer as an attribute to purchased tools, so it's easier to tell when they are made tradable.
Wait, when and how'd we find out about the explosive Demo pack?
Wait, when and how'd we find out about the explosive Demo pack?
Forgot exactly where, but a dev said they have weapons in mind for the demo that isn't a sword.
Wait, when and how'd we find out about the explosive Demo pack?
GreenMarine did some damage control after they reveiled the 101 Demoknight pack, by saying an explosive Demoman pack is coming soon.
Halloween is next big update 100%
I'm looking forward to this update.
Plus the Engie Pack submissions have been flowing in, so...
Safe to assume it's Mean Medicine, Junkyard Justice, Gardening Pyro, Explosive Demo, and Engie packs?

Holy fuck if this happens.. My dick will reach jupiter
Engie packs?
we can but only wish :(
Oh yea, I forgot about a potential Engineer pack.
Nothing in the beta points to anything like that (Engineer's belt misc group is used for the Wingstick), but I think it's a safe assumption.
I think Heavy and Scout will sit this one out. There's a bajillion Spy packs out there, so he's covered, but I've only seen a few Heavy and Scout packs recently (Boy Scout and Marine Scout come to mind), but they seem too new to be part of a pack.
Halloween is next big update 100%
I believe Halloween is going to be bigger this year than last year, but I still think another large update is planned. I see the Halloween patch being a larger Deus Ex pack, with a few more weapons and a ton more hats, but no real sets and nothing "major." I believe a traditional major update would be better received.

Thank god, I've been hoping for a new Sticky Launcher or Grenade Launcher to try out. I just hope like hell they won't be gimmicky, especially the Sticky Launcher.
I also hope we see some more one-off, non set based weapons. The set concept is getting stale and it's limiting the items we can get in the game. Off the top of my head, I can think of a lot of weapons I've seen in the emporium that were not part of sets but that would fit right in.
- Magnet Wrangler
- Riot Demoman Shield
- Boomerang
- And a lot others I can't think of right now because I have a flu coming on
