having to download 50+ hat models is a pretty huge update, and UI elements are a lot bigger than you'd think.
It was bulked up a lot because Valve turned what was one model for all-class hats into 9 models for all-class hats (one for each class) meaning 9 different models for most all-class hats had to be downloaded :x
