Yep, some people have the hat from getting the magazine early.
I'm probably late, but with the items_game.txt update from the addition of the sticky jumper projectiles and skin being changed, there was a hell of a lot more added. You'll have to bear with me, because I don't have pictures as of just yet. The new paints from the item schema have been added, the "special" paints. There's one that is a deep team color which pulsates from red/blue to white at a fast pace. There is also a lime green color which turns red and blinks when your health gets low. Another thing that was added due to the sticky jumper update is an attribute which forces projectiles. You can literally have a minigun that shoots rockets, a sticky launcher that shoots pipe bombs, or a rocket launcher that shoots bullets now. (Every projectile works.) One more thing has been added as well, and that is a high-five taunt attribute. it doesn't seem to work yet, but having a taunt in your action button seems to play a small idle animation in third person. This might be the works of the taunt being official soon. Anyways, that's all the news I have to bring. I hope you can believe it. I guess if you don't, I'll try to get pictures somehow via items_game editing.

nothing like that was added to items_games.txt You can check the changes here http://wiki.teamfortress.com/wiki/September_15,_2011_Patch http://wiki.teamfortress.com/wiki/September_20,_2011_Patch down at the bottom, just expand items_game.txt and it will show you what changed.

I know for a fact. I've been messing with these attributes. I guess I'll bring up TF2 later because I am lazy and can't do it right now.

I think that's the only special paint that will be added however those paints seem interesting none the less.
The health based paint seems pretty interesting, would be somewhat useful for players who aren't very good at FPS's. But the question is, can other players see your health then? If they can, you would get picked on by the enemy and the Solemn Vow ability would be kinda pointless against these people (As you can see their relative HP).
prove it
Okay, I'll be honest. I was half-lying. it's in the item schema just now, but we used a sourcemod "give items" command and edited attributes to do so. They weren't mods, they were real attributes. Cructo can confirm the schema update. Aaaaaand ninja'd. [sp]You know you're cool when you beat ITEM SCHEMA.[/sp]
"Mighty Pirate"
oh shit yes
Pyro Conscience
oh shit YES

My analysis: NeoDement: Hey I'd love it to be true but I've found too many things that don't add up I think NeoDement: My hotdog hat name is "TF_ScoutHat1" NeoDement: which I think is the batters helm NeoDement: the Junkyard Justice pack isn't there NeoDement: the demoman bombs are "glasses" NeoDement: And it got pulled apparently instantly after being posted NeoDement: even though they were posting about it for about 10 mins
