Where's the Capo's Capper change? What's going on...
What's going on...
Nothing important, it seems.
Nothing important, it seems.
:x but we know they updated the Capo's Capper, but there's no update to the Capo's Capper in the update
The update that was just an update.
notes
Source Engine Changes (TF2, DoD:S, HL2:DM) - Dramatically improved the dynamic model loading system's memory usage, performance, and stability - Reduced memory usage on systems running Windows XP, Windows Vista, and Windows 7 - Improved alt-tab handling under Windows Vista and Windows 7
What is this I don't even...
update of the YEAR
Pretty dang mandatory, looks like one of those huge updates they need to warn you about 45 minutes beforehand.
and then i couldn't play on my favourite servers..
Pretty dang mandatory, looks like one of those huge updates they need to warn you about 45 minutes beforehand.
yea really... why bother warning us, the update isn't even that big
I bet the game doesn't even start anymore
Am I the only who welcomes this update?
Magicka DLC... TF2 Update... Magicka DLC... I think I will have to go with the Magicka DLC.
Magicka annoyed me by just now downloading a huge patch while I was waiting for TF2 to update... Steam decided to do TF2 last...
performance update > shitty reskins.
performance update > shitty reskins.
Most of the reskins are not shitty. But yes, I would take an update that helped fix issues with the game running rather than reskins.
Most of the reskins are not shitty. But yes, I would take an update that helped fix issues with the game running rather than reskins.
I'm not saying they look shitty. Some of these look better than the original, like the postal pumeller. But the whole idea behind reskins is stupid: if I want a new weapon with old stats, I install a client side mod. Not something as important as performance.
Of course. But that can also be achieved with mods.
Not everyone want their games filled with mods and being restricted to sv_pure 0 servers.
Guys, am I the only one sick of seeing weird things in-game that are just ripped out of other games as promos and stuff like, the sun on a stick, I vaguely remember what game that came from but other than that it just looks like a badly fitting weapon with almost useless stats same with the cow mangler , volcano fragment ect the widowmaker is a useful gun, but in no way does its model fit into the game, they could of designed a TF2 fitting model and released it and it would of been awesome I feel like TF2 is slipping away, I hope christmas pulls it back

I've never gotten to use a Sun-on-a-Stick yet, but it seems like it's a teamwork weapon that could work best combined with a Sharpened Volcano Fragment Pyro on Degroot Keep, but that's just one map! I'm afraid that we'll keep getting unfitting weapons and hats unless Valve stops promoting games that frankly doesn't need the support, but december seems promising! Valve directly asked the community to make christmas themed items and the truth is; Sometimes the community are better at keeping the artstyle than Valve themselves.

But the promotional weapons... I would prefer it if TF2 fitting weapons were used. and not references to other games. And I also dislike reskins eg. The Swashbuckler's Swag because so much unused talent the skins being made by the community are going to a waste.
Weta doesn't sell the Cow Mangler, that actually is a TF2 created item. And I haven't played Rift, but I don't think Sun-on-a-Stick and the Fragment have much to do with the game itself. I've never heard or seen anyone mention that those items directly come from the game.
http://www.wetanz.com/pearce
thats the other, unfitting space laser gun the cow mangler isn't a weta item? wow thats almost worse, because valve actually created the unfitting weapon themselves, when it was not needed
eh... the cow mangler is still quite a bit different. That seems to be the inspiration for it, but from what I saw of ComicCon, Weta was billing the Mangler as a unique TF2 item.
http://www.wetanz.com/pearce
You mean this: http://www.wetanz.com/the-righteous-bison-indivisible-particle-smasher/from/best [editline]30th November 2011[/editline] and no, the Cow Mangler is not in Weta
No.... The Mangler is WETA made, there just isn't a real life variant of it.
It takes inspiration for the design from a different gun on the site, too.
It takes inspiration for the design from a different gun on the site, too.
Which is the one I linked.
