Meet The Goalkeeper ? I mean, why not ?
Looks like a redrawn scene from on of the beta trailers.
It really is. You can tell by the lack of roof on the 2fort bridge that this drawing was not made after release.
It really is. You can tell by the lack of roof on the 2fort bridge that this drawing was not made after release.
TF2 was released in 2007 though. It says 09 on it, so maybe he didn't use it in a comic because it was using the beta version of 2fort as a reference.
Looks like "Avon 09." If it's been sitting there since 2009, I wonder why we haven't seen it yet? Maybe it's just been sitting there unused?
It really is. You can tell by the lack of roof on the 2fort bridge that this drawing was not made after release.
It's dated 09 though. There are differences in several comics from what we see ingame.
Seems the Mapper's Medalion was resubmitted under the radar about a month ago http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=5545
Seems the Mapper's Medalion was resubmitted under the radar about a month ago http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=5545
Not under the radar, told a lot of people about it. Artpass entries will get theirs, and it's the prize for their new TF2Maps contest, the Dynamic Payload.
Kritzkast has been spamming me on Steam all week with their stupid hat giving out contest thing
Kritzkast has been spamming me on Steam all week with their stupid hat giving out contest thing
It's not like anyone wins it anyway.
Kritzkast has been spamming me on Steam all week with their stupid hat giving out contest thing
I got the hat myself. Do i wear it? Not exactly. It just kinda sits there. Not sure why they put so much hype around it.
I got the hat myself. Do i wear it? Not exactly. It just kinda sits there. Not sure why they put so much hype around it.
If I had it I'd only wear it on engie.
I got the hat myself. Do i wear it? Not exactly. It just kinda sits there. Not sure why they put so much hype around it.
My potato hat is way enough. Also, this is probably old news, but I've seen some unused attributes added in the Australian Christmas 2011 update. Seens to be alternatives to the Pomson 6000 and the Holiday Punch. "354 - Stuns ennemies who are also wielding this weapon" "339 - On hit: reveal cloaked spies" "340 - On hit: reveal disguised spies"
354 is used on the Holiday Punch, unless there's another attribute for that already?
Uh i'm guessing the drawing is a homage to this
354 is used on the Holiday Punch
I don't think so, the Holiday Punch doesn't stun ennemies wielding the same weapon, it makes them laugh. There's a separate attribute for that.
is it me, or do crates seem like rarer drops now? Also Festive Weapons trigger unlockable weapon voice responses. Using the Festive Medigun triggers the Kritzkreig lines and a Festive Minigun is a NEEWWWW WEAAPPOOONNN

Using the Festive Medigun triggers the Kritzkreig lines and a Festive Minigun is a NEEWWWW WEAAPPOOONNN
That used to be the case with renamed weapons too. But the Festives are completely different item ids so the TF team needs to backtrack to fix that now by excluding those weapons from triggering any "new weapon" lines :v:

"It's like Christmas morning" for Sniper is actually fitting though

Oh, by the way, I start classes again today :( So Mon-Wed don't expect any news immediately. IE: I'm actually typing this from iPhone Dev class and speaking of school... I graduate this year with a BS in New Media. ...hey Valve! You need a community manager? I know you do! You need me as a community manager so I can write your social media posts and be an active member on SUF/FP/Polycount/Wiki/etc/etc as your mouth and eyes out on the field. I am a pro at this stuff, and I'd be a loyal staff member. I saw this need when the forums were hacked. For days nobody was out on websites, blogs or any social media site explaining the situation, and instead rumors and speculation was allowed to spread, escalating the situation and making it into a huge ordeal. Misinformation was all over, and even when Valve explained the situation, it was almost a week later, with a note on the forums. It wouldn't be a for a few days before this was mentioned on the Steam news feed. This was slow, and I'm sure it was a result of everyone at Valve working hard to fix the problem, rather than explaining to users what the problem they are fixing is. This hole could be filled with a community member who would be out on message boards and social media sites explaining the situation and answering specific questions quickly with proper information. This position's full job would be to focus solely on delivering a message, so if things get busy there is always someone dedicated to ensuring users know what is going on. You'd gain valuable information about how the community works and you'd have a direct channel to every Valve/Video Game related website/forum and have an active member of all of these on at all times managing Valve's image and taking feedback to you. You'd also gain a huge advantage over other corporations and their social media experts because I know how video games work, I know how to program. I can look at technical information and read and understand it. I would be able to identify key information leaks and work towards preventing sensitive information from spreading. I have 21 years experience playing video games and 10 years of social media experience. I have been acknowledged by Nintendo as a valuable leader of their (former) online community, and I am an certified, reliable contributor of your very own TF2 Wiki (I have a Wiki Cap to prove it!). I also have worked as a audio/visual content creator for two non-profit institutions, one of which required extensive research into the video game industry. I have met and chatted with such video game developers as John Romero, many indie developers, and several community managers of Nintendo of America. I'm personable and have leadership skills far beyond my age. Please PM me if you want my resume. I'm open to moving! :)
I would love to see Ned working at Valve. He totally fits the job. Seriously.

You would definitely deserve a job there.
Me being able to manage news spread, image and community content for Valve would be a dream come true.
._. The Overdose is assigned to use the unique firing sounds, but they don't currently work. It's not unused, it's a straight bug. This is the only weapon with this specific bug. It's related to "visuals_tem" Valve is impossible
._. The Overdose is assigned to use the unique firing sounds, but they don't currently work. It's not unused, it's a straight bug. The wiki is looking more into it. There might be more weapons with this bug. Valve is impossible
the sound update, we forgot to actually use these.
the Spy-cicle and Black Box have a sort of similar treatment. They have definitions for unique sounds (a draw spinning sound and custom explosions), but the game is never told by the schema to use them for anything. Which makes them better then other unused sounds, but still pretty dumb.
Me being able to manage news spread, image and community content for Valve would be a dream come true.
You could keep an eye out and update TF2.com's news page for them.
