Man, I'm getting anxious for a patch. It's been so long since the last bug-fix and there's so many loose ends from Christmas still not tied up (like recipes).
Even a bulky schema update would make me happy.

so today I was taught how to read the sound effect folder and compare it to the schema.
I really shouldn't have learned how to do this, it's more frustrating than fun with all the inconsistency and completely unused sounds that are already coded to work and are missing one line in the schema.
Some interesting stuff
- Hooking the Headtaker with the Horsemann's axe sounds would be very simple, just changing 2 lines in the schema. I feel this change would enhance the weapon
- I didn't know the Eviction Notice uses the Eyelander sounds when hitting the world
- The draw, reload and explosion sounds are already programmed for the Original, and the sounds for explosion are already coded for the Black Box. Again, a few schema line changes to hook these up
- The Machina reload sound is hooked up in the schema and the game sound file... but it just doesn't work in-game
- There should be a reason the Pomson has the shotgun sounds under the Pomson sounds, it isn't a bug with the sound effects, something else is up

Not sure if good thing because Nighteam servers were annoying as fuck or bad thing because they were the only server that actually played Harvest Event...
Something I realized while talking to a friend earlier today.
For the past...two years? We've always gotten an update in April. There has never been an update before that in a given year.
Pretty sure the next content update is going to be some time in April - at least, that's what the trend appears to show.
We had the community map update and the shogun update before April last year, and the year before it we had 2 community item packs before April.
Valve keeps doing holiday updates, so it'll be an April fools update.

Some of these bugs would take minutes to fix and I think Valve's "everyone do whatever you want!" makes it so they can't focus enough to fix minor things because they're always working on the next big thing.
Now if they had a community manager, he'd be able to ask the community for help in fixing the bugs and use the workshop to help implement these fixes faster.

i wouldnt be suprised if we never got it actually.its been so long and he already got some weapon packs they might have forgot.
there weren't any all-star engineer packs in that contest that are actually useable in-game

Fixed localization files
I think those robots will be made to use as separate player models for bots to easily differentiate them from human players.
