I agree, it works okay as a downside but note it as such because not many people know they draw from the same pool. Just a text attribute, "Uses pistol ammo" What's funny about the no crit boost Mangler, is even if the weapon could be crit-boosted it cannot ever be made to crit glow because of how the texture is set up. The weapon cannot be paintable and have crit glow at the same time, so adding crit glow would require remaking portions of the texture to no longer support paint. It's actually kind of good it can't be crit boosted, because a giant glowing Rocket Launcher serves a very major readability aspect. But what's really stupid is they continue to try the paint method on weapons, which is why the Phlog's canister doesn't glow. It would have just been silly if the entire weapon didn't glow, given the attributes, but we were dangerously close to having it be that way. The other lack of crit boosts don't have an excuse other than I hear ItemTest compiler messes with the crit-glow texture parameter, which explains why so many new weapons don't crit glow. But seriously... why let something so important just die like that

you know last year we had a small community update, a map update, the shogun update and the Hatless update before the start of the Saxxys
There's usually a small(-ish) major update in February.
Valve was going to update the tips "after the holidays" and also look at the Soldier Garbage set "after the holidays" I wonder how those two events transpired. Also before thanksgiving they said they were in the process of updating old, (bad) kill icons.
So I have a question, what ever happened to the Goalkeeper and that update that was leaked by the translation people?

And I honestly think the manniversary leak was from miscommunication between the dude who does the schema and the ones who compile the client changes

It seems they comment more when something is wrong rather than if everything is okay and fine. I think if they are testing implementation, they're pretty much confirming it's getting in. Why bother with the effort of testing unless they planned on using it.

You're forgetting the textures for the Salty Dog, Counterfeit Billycock and Bucaneer's Bicorne (might give up on the Bicorne as I've started to prefer their version) Maybe I should resubmit, the fixes are currently only submitted in a big "Manniversary paint fix" pack...

Once you do that, you learn to just tolerate it and pretend the misaligned sight is a "feature" of the design of the weapon The reload animation doesn't really bother me as much as that stupid sight being way off and clipping does.
Agree with you on everything but the clipping, which generally I never notice.
