I just went through my email and looked at a few HLDS announcements.
Most of them were only a few hours or minutes away from the update, so I guess that's not too accurate of a way to tell if something is coming or not.

My theory is that the update will be today, because the last big update (well for Valve), was the Deus Ex set, which was released in August, and Ceiling MMan said they had a big update planned for every month up to november.
Well or you know, Valve time, it's been a while since the last Valve time.

I hate to be the pragmatist here, but if anything, doesn't that point to the possibility that it WON'T come out any time soon? I know we heard from the recent Valve tourist that they have something planned for every month, but let's not forget how Valve treats long-term planning.
Nothing against Valve at all, it's just that we've heard from multiple interviews and employees there that they don't really take them all that seriously. If something isn't done "on time," they'll push back the deadline and work on it until it's finished. 119 Update is a perfect example of that.
Yeah, that schema was obviously not completed, since it only was a bunch of hats, some random weapons,
and the pirate set.
But i really hope they release something, even a price discount would make me happier, or just the 2nd misc slot

Probably valve forgot about that and that's why they still kept it up.
It's sort of not needed anymore anyway. Your first purchase at the MannCo store is already rewarded by unlocking your game and making it premium. The added hat just means everyone who is premium now owns a MannCo cap.
At this point if you are an old user and haven't bought something at the MannCo store, you probably won't ever anyway.

I bet that they're not going to do anything at all.
They will get us all hyped-the-fuck up for an update that won't come; have us rage; give us a Halloween Update 3 months AFTER the actual Halloween, celebrating how they all got drunk and Robin Walker fucked a hat on Halloween, forgetting to update TF2; then have us rage more as they are all Soldier items, along with the Engineer having all his items taken away, and the Pyro's nerfed just a bit fucking more.
This will happen.
I bet one of the items will require a Cloak and Dagger as an ingredient because I just traded my last extra one away for a Strange Eyelander
Original + Scrap would be a cool recipe for the Junkyard Justice rocket launcher
Booties + Sandman would be nice for the Pegleg
Degreaser + Fan-O-War for the Griefblower
(I have dupes of all of those weapons)
I hope it's simple recipes like that and not Original + Refined + Scrap or dumb recipes like the Uber update.

It cost 1 refined and a weapon to make the Mantreads, an extremely situational weapon that's really only useful with the Rocket Jumper.
Family Bussiness is much better.
Last Halloween, I played TF2 for maybe an hour, then my PC screen blew up. Then I moved house.
5 Months without TF2 updates and fun. Hope I dont miss anything this year :smile:

Anyone else a little relieved this update will probably contain the last of the STS leak stuff.
Going forward everything added should be a total surprise, which I think makes a better update
I don't think that there'll be an update tonight now, given that they only updated the Beta last night.
